Thank you Gardenista ! I had a hunch those results would not be released prior to Faye's funeral. I'm okay with that - this family deserves time to grieve. Also, to be clear, I have no idea when the funeral will actually occur. JMOO

From a video I watched online... apparently this is the yard where Faye would have been playing. In the background, marked is CT's address 150 yards away.

This shows one of the windows from CT's address (screenshot from a rental listing). Wonder if anyone watched the police searching trash from this window... or saw LE heading toward the woods.
(edited taking into account no confirmation who is perp)

You need to provide a link to where you found this photo. We have no idea where this picture came from without a link. Thank you.

Are you thinking he had constant visual? But still, how do you grab her with no one seeing out of a window?
No idea... but the proximity is stunning. Really a short walking distance, and the way the yard is situated kind of between townhomes makes it seem like someone could have just walked over from that address, talked quietly to her, and led her away without anyone seeing. It also looks like a pleasant place for a child to play. So sad.

The timeline of the investigation that was detailed in the press conference, paints the picture that investigators were going back to the trash cans in the neighborhood, directly following the trash pick up (probably scheduled for every Thursday). They have previously searched trash cans on Wednesday, the day prior (looked for links but most have been updated to the most recent info.) Knowing the trash schedule, there is reason to believe that someone may have tried to discard evidence just before trash pickup. They thought it would be taken straight from pickup to landfill because they had already been searched.

Just going back to this for a sec.... I think this was a well executed ploy by LE to circle back to the trash cans after searching them one day prior. It gave the perp a false sense of confidence that he could dispose of evidence, since the trash had already been searched.

While we may never know for sure, I think he moved the body early in the morning, and held onto an item of her clothing as some sort of trophy, or realized he had left something of hers behind (why not dump any evidence with the body?) He realized he couldn't keep it, and placed it in the trash just before the scheduled Thursday pick up, probably saw them coming down the street and then spiraled from there.
JMO.

What we know about Coty Taylor, man linked to Faye Swetlik

Friday, February 14th 2020

Sgt. Antley is talking about Coty Taylor. The 30-year-old has been linked to 6-year-old Faye Swetlik. Police said Taylor was found dead in his Churchill Heights apartment on Thursday about 150 yards away from the little girl's body.

“He was a neighbor. He was not a relative. He was not a friend. He was merely a neighbor that lived in Chruchill Heights,” said Sgt. Antley.

ETA: For those that prefer to visualize -- 150 yards is .08522 miles

A football field is 100 yds and including the end zone add another 20 or more yards. Most people know what a football field looks like.

Horrible.

Keeping the Swetlik Family and Friends in my prayers.

He didn't want her found in his home so he took her little body, and threw it away like she was trash in the woods.
ITA with this.
It’s also possible he anticipated who may discover his body and didn’t want that person discovering her as well, and tried to spare them? Perhaps I’m giving him too much credit though.
