Well that seems kinda snarky.

Are there specific rule for media contacts when using the FOIA process? Did the media publish inaccurate information in advance? Seems rather odd to cancel a public performance but then turn around and print their "story" and mail it? Maybe I'm not understanding this situation.
I didn’t see any inappropriate news coverage about the PC? Anyone have any idea what LE is so upset about? This is very unusual!
Yes, I'm curious about what they're upset about, which is probably the exact opposite of what they intended.
I would guess this is exactly it.The only thing I could think of was maybe the media started contacting the parents and the parents got (justifiably) upset?
Noting:
The FBI reported they were waiting on certain outstanding reports to officially close the case. Reports that will not change their evidence or opinion.
Do you not believe Taylor involved at all in Faye's murder? On what basis?
^^RSBM and from the link:
Nearly a year later, Cayce DPS Chief Byron Snellgrove said the investigation is still open.
"There's still some evidence that's out there that we have not received reports on, that's still being looked at. And once we receive that, we'll close the case. I don't think that there's anything out there that's going to change any opinion of what we have on the case, or any outcome of the case," said Snellgrove.
Authorities said 30-year-old Coty Taylor, a neighbor, was responsible for Faye's death. Taylor was found dead in his home and investigators ruled it a suicide.
Viewing the summary of CT's movements was so chilling: this individual is shopping for supplies to bury his victim -- I'm so sorry for Faye's family forced to relive this all over again.Noting:

- Article includes video of CT at Walmart purchasing a 50 lb bag of potting soil and other gardening items on the 13th. Investigators found that bag nearly empty after CT was found dead.
- Video surveillance from the early morning hours of Feb. 13 appears to show a person emptying the contents of a bag in the area where Faye’s body was found.
- CT’s DNA was found under Faye’s fingernails.
- Both Faye and CT’s DNA was found in a black laundry bag inside CT’s home. (Laundry bag was noted full in initial search of CT's home and found empty on the day Faye's body was found.)
- One of the rain boots Faye had last been seen in was found in CT’s trash can Feb. 13, along with a ladle and some freshly-dug dirt.
- The ladle contained Faye and CT’s DNA.
- Moments after the discovery of Faye’s body, officers found Taylor dead on the back porch of his home. He had killed himself, investigators said.
- A knife found with Taylor’s body only contained his DNA.
- Summary of Coty Taylor's Movements (scribd.com)
- The crude grave where Faye was buried contained “dark potting type soil,” police said.
- His roommate said he was at work at the time of Faye’s disappearance, and police were able to confirm that.

I guess those of you who had connected the video game oriented loner stereotype to the "incel" subculture were right. It's especially pathetic considering this dude was perfectly normal looking and could have easily found a girlfriend if he'd just made some effort. Drag these kind of people out on an extended visit into the real world at least weekly.Man Who Killed 6-Year-Old Faye Swetlik Was Self-Described 'Incel' Who Hid Her Body for Two Days: Police
A man who killed a young girl last year was a self-described “incel” and “asexual” who hid her body in his home for two days, according to local police.
……
In the newly released report from police, cops spoke to a friend who knew Taylor for five years, according to The State. Taylor had described himself as an “asexual” and an “incel,” which is short for “involuntary celibate.” This friend described him as a “loner who constantly had a negative outlook on life” and Taylor had once said he “lived without hope.”

Totally agree.Considering it is by definition impossible to be both asexual and an incel the safest thing to say about this perpetrator is that he had significant issues with sexual identity - a deadly pattern with a hell of a lot more than two examples.
Guys like this are just particularly scary because they could be (are) everywhere and there are no clearly established warning signs if one of them might actually be dangerous unlike registered, habitual sex offenders and mothers' paramores. The solution is certainly not to further isolate already psychologically isolated young men. It is a more proactive, understanding community attitude toward mental health
