So sad she hasn't been found yet. Apologies if this is a repeat but I hadn't seen it posted yet. There are some interesting details I don't recall hearing/reading before.

A few snippets, BBM with my comments below each one.

When she went upstairs to her daughter’s bedroom, Gabrielle was missing and the alarm clock, which had gone off at 5:25 a.m., was still ringing.
So Mom left for work at 3:30 and Gabbiee had to have been taken before 5:25 a.m. What a small window of opportunity. I knew it was before her Mom got back at 7:30 but didn't realize it was an even shorter time frame than that. I wonder if he knew what time Gabbiee normally gets up and planned it out so he knew exactly when to "suggest" that her Mom leave for work. I haven't seen any confirmation that he was the one to suggest her going in so early but it was suggested as a possibility and seems likely IMO.

Also does anyone know what Gabbiee's Mom does for work and how close it is to their home? I'm not sleuthing her, just curious because that seems like a short time to be at work, especially if you factor in driving/commute time. Makes me wonder if something prompted her to come home earlier than she originally planned.
Chandra Cleveland-Jennings, a private investigator hired by the Swainson family, said the teen has no history of running away from home.

“Her and her mom are best friends. They are like Frick and Frack,” Cleveland-Jennings told NewsOne in an interview. “Her mom doesn’t even let her walk to her friend’s house alone, which is two blocks away.”
Wow! That's pretty quick to hire a PI isn't it? Good for the family for not wasting any time! I was just surprised to see it so quickly. The part about walking to her friends house darn near made me cry. Her Mom is SO protective of her little girl and still this happens. It's awful.

Last Seen Wearing: Black tank top, with pink and black pajama pants, Adidas sandals and a do-rag that was black and pink.
This doesn't exactly match with what they showed in the presser but it occurred to me, assuming she left the home with clothes on, the picture they showed has to be something similar to what she was wearing, not her exact PJs. It's probably a catalog picture of the closest thing they could find, IMO.

The video on this page is good too. Her Mom seems strong but thinking "how can this be happening?" You can also see Grant 'helping' to search for her at normal speed instead of slow motion, in several spots. If I understood her Mom's interview correctly, Gabbiee was supposed to start school either today or last Thursday. :(

Have we heard what Gabbiees plans were for the day?

5:25 am seems awfully early for a teenager to get up on a Saturday.

That raises my creep factor!

I saw it discussed this earlier past week when JV-M covered the case. It is one of those alarm clocks that, once set, remains set for that time unless you specifically remove it from "alarm mode." It will continue to go off at the same time each morning unless told not to.

So her mom was speculating that a) it remained set from earlier in the week and Gabbiee was simply reaching over and stopping the alarm each morning when it went off.

or b) they had discussed plans to attend church Sunday morning and Gabbiee was a girly girl in the sense that she took at least an hour to get ready in the mornings. Mom supposed it was possible that the alarm was set to allow for time to get ready for church on Sunday morning (the day following her disappearance).

I agree! But her Mom did get up to go into work at 3:30 so... maybe they're just really, really early risers?

The only thing I heard/saw about her plans were also in that link I posted above. She and her Mom were going to go "back to school" shopping. :( Of course that would be later in the day as I'm sure most stores don't open that early, but maybe Gabbiee wanted to be up and ready by the time her Mom got home. Or as someone else mentioned, maybe it was just one of those alarms that you have to remember to turn off on the weekends and she forgot.

I am kind of surprised that LE is using the term "monster" in relation to the suspect at this point...I saw that quoted in an article this morning. A defense attorney could have a field day with that, I suppose.

Just offering my prayers and support to LE and mom. This case just breaks my heart!!! Gabbiee is such a lovely, intelligent young girl and so I want her to be OK....but the perp has been under arrest for awhile, so if she is alive and hidden there is a limited time without water and food---and I just don't think this guy leaves witnesses.

I had the same thought... I bet the evidence LE has may have something to do with the "monster" statement. Just reading between the lines of what little we know, I think Gabbie was a fighter. The media has reported that she was "taken against her will". How do they know this??? There must be evidence of a struggle. I pray that Gabbie is still out there, and the same fighter instinct is giving her hope to hold on until help arrives. Oh God, PLEASE let this child be found soon!!! Please!!! :please:

The mother had in fact dated the suspect off and on "for years". The sheriff doesn't outright say so, but many sources close to the case (including investigators) have said so and it's been reported/printed many times. It's also the local word on the street. She's being elusive about it and apparently it's a touchy subject with LE which I don't get, but whatever..

We don't know if Freddie was already in the home the morning her mother went to work and/or if he had a key to the house. Why not? Why doesn't LE know this information? Why did her mother print flyers immediately and pass them out in Elgin (where Freddie is from) instead her neighborhood FIRST? I don't think the mom was involved in any way shape or form regarding her daughter's disappearance - ASIDE from the fact she dated a career criminal who is wanted in the disappearance of another woman as well as a shooting death of a man. But my gut tells me she knew from the GET GO who was responsible for her daughter's disappearance. And why she hasn't been forthcoming with her relationship (refusing to answer any questions about it) is perplexing.

And the yard work FG supposedly did the day before Gabbiee went missing - I call BS on that. The yard is burned slap up. Just rode by the house this afternoon (2 mins from my house). There was nothing to be done IN the yard. It's actually a horrible yard. The media tried to soften the images somewhat but don't be fooled -

<modsnip>

I think LE is being evasive about the relationship between Mom and suspect to protect her a bit from any backlash. But if there is a trial, it will all have to come out anyway.

I am so mad. I at the point of becoming politically vocal.

I read the report tonight. On live5. Yes I am local.

So there was this:

Gabbiee is a beautiful girl :-(
May G-d Bless her and bring her peace.

This story makes me so sad, and it's a perfect example of how perps will and do insert themselves into the investigation (often)from the inside from the very beginning, and work their 5th amendment rights.

Thankfully it sounds like Lott and LE have a lot of evidence. It concerned me that he referred to him as " the monster that he is" but that must be referring to terms previous convictions, and or directly to the crime scene at his apartment and in his car.

Also another sicko weekend abduction. :-(

Here's another thought. What if the mom was dating Grant on and off for awhile? It's possible things went south for them and they broke it off...or mom broke it off. Maybe Grant wouldn't accept rejection. I can see somebody like him constantly being around. Pretending "okay if you don't want to date, let's at least be friends"

He could play off being the a "friend" Just enough so that he is always dropping by, he's always showing up where you are, he's always calling for petty things, always around. Maybe it was enough to creep the mom out but not enough to do something about it. It's possible she didn't even recognize it until it was to late. Signs are always easier to spot after something has happened.

Just my thoughts this morning. IMO

IF this held any truth, what makes her any different than Carnel's mother?

MOO

finally found the thread on this....knew WS had to have one. anyway, i live 10 minutes from her home....her mom works at the same place i do (although at a different building). i cant believe she hasn't been found. apparently the suspect is not cooperating with questioning at all. he knows something....just wont give up any info. i hope shes found soon, safely....but its not looking too good at this point.

At this point, I don't think a specific top is of any real significance in finding her and it surely won't change the devastating end result.. but I have seen this set before and the pink pants represent the color and design of top that goes with the brown pj bottoms.

The US criminal/judicial system needs a complete overhaul in each and every state. It's not *just* South Carolina who can stand improvement. And while not perfect, I can't complain how they have handled this case. A suspect and subsequent arrest was executed within a few short days of this child's disappearance. They have spared no expense and no resource. They continue to look for her daily and I think they have done an outstanding job. Should one of my children ever go missing, I hope they would receive the same level of professionalism & priority this case has.

http://www.wistv.com/story/19423809/gabbiees-father-appeals-for-his-daughters-return

Her dad is a truck driver & lives in another state. She has 7 half siblings and is the youngest.
So sad:
A few years ago, Thompson said Gabbiee took a church trip to New York City. She called him before she left. "She said, 'Daddy I'm gonna go up there but I'm scared,'" recalled Thompson. "'What are you scared of?' 'If I get lost, you gonna come and get me?' I said, 'New York is big but I'll come. I'll come and look.'" "Now I think about back when she told me would I come get her," he said. "Now I can't find her."

Carnell, Gabbiee, Hailey Dunn and the countless other children who have suffered a similar fate - they all share the same fundamental ingredient. They all come from a single parent environment and that single parent was duped by a predator / boyfriend (and sometimes spouse, as is the case with Kyron.) It's an all too common occurrence.

Agree! Seems like the number one cause of murdered children is mommies boyfriend!

On the NG show the other night the sherriff said that they had duct tape with blood on it from Grant's home. I am almost sure that is what he said. It was while NG wasa questioning him about the "solid" evidence they had.
