I found on S.C. public records the Desecration charge was dismissed!

That same case number in General Sessions court is still pending, though. The SS you show is from Central Jury Court. I don't have enough legal knowledge to decipher this, though. Perhaps same case, different courts, or transferred to GS ? We need a legal expert to weigh in on this.

One charge dismissed in Murrells Inlet murder case
[…]

Solicitor Jimmy Richardson says the charge was dismissed because it technically involves tampering with remains of a grave site.

“I’m not overly concerned about the desecration charge being dismissed,” said Richardson.

[…]

“It’s my understanding that her son is not alive. I don’t want to get into when he died or that part of it, but he’s no longer alive. And he was deceased before the body of Mr. Clodfelter was found,” said Richardson.

[…]

According to warrants, Clodfelter misled the investigation and continued to receive money from her husband’s business.

[…]

The solicitor’s office has not offered Clodfelter any plea deals.

A trial date has not yet been set, but could happen as early as June 2020.

it’s mind blowing that the date of death was the first of March but he signed all his property over to his daughters March 29th! <modsnip>

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

why would the step mum admit she concealed the body and say her son was responsible? What’s in it for her to do that? By your theory, the daughter killed him, left him to be found by step mom, and daughter hopes step mom will cover her tracks and think her son did it? Sounds like a pretty lame plan!
