Forge Consulting threatens legal action in wake of Murdaugh murder trial

SBM

'On Wednesday, Michael E. Gunn, a Principal and Senior Settlement Consultant for Forge Consulting LLC, issued the following statement today following his testimony Wednesday in the murder trial of Murdaugh in Walterboro, S.C.:

“Forge Consulting has been in business for over 20 years building our reputation on professionalism, experience and integrity. We’ve built our business on the truth and that’s exactly why we’re here today: to tell the truth.

“I don’t know what happened that horrible night in Islandton when Maggie and Paul Murdaugh were murdered. But I do know that Alex Murdaugh used our good name to defraud his clients, his law firm and countless others. I know that Bank of America could have stopped it all there with a single phone call to verify the truth. Unfortunately, that call was never made. I wonder how much tragedy could have been avoided if it was.”

Attorneys for Forge Consulting, LLC have said that they’re preparing to take legal action in response to the "serious harm Murdaugh and Bank of America have done to the financial firm’s business reputation and credibility due to Murdaugh’s and Bank of America’s participation in a scheme that allowed Murdaugh to use the “Forge” brand in order to defraud millions of dollars from his clients and colleagues." '

Has there been any mention of Paul being in the right place at the wrong time? I think at times AM may have real tears for Paul and that he would like people to think that his tears are for Maggie too. It works to his advantage.
I think AM loved Paul as a son but viewed him as a detriment to the family. This might sound horrible, but I think AM blames Paul for everything. I think his anger toward Paul is what justified his reason for killing him. I think when AM cries in court, he is feeling sorry for himself (narcissist) because he believes Paul forced his hand.

Unsure about Maggie at this point.

In the bottom frame he is giving someone a strong arm with a pointing finger and a stern face. I would love to know who.
It’s from this video around 1:02 during the evacuation of the Courthouse today.

Looks like he is gesturing to someone to move a vehicle, or maybe telling someone which way to go IMO.

He says something to the other Officer at the same time and looks like Officer gets on his radio.

And when was that statement from?

Gosh I read but not sure now. The purchases were listed on the statement.

Didn't know that. This means they would have just gotten that statement.

To be clear, the Gucci reference about a purchase by MM on May 3, 2021, at $3,041 for a handbag and slides was only reported by MSM (after a reporter made an inquiry at the Gucci store located in Charleston, SC).

This MSM report is completely separate and unrelated to the testimony by SLED Agent Croft on 1/31/23. Agent Croft testified about locating a charge card statement in the trash (along with spent ammo) where a Gucci purchase at about $1,100 was circled on the statement with no further testimony provided including the relevance, who made the purchase, where, and when.

More recently, an image of the exhibit entered into evidence on 1/31/23 depicting the charge statement with Gucci circled was released to the public where no date is discernable for either the statement date or Gucci purchase date because it appears what was retrieved from the trash was ripped at the top and at the left margin.

The court Exhibit of the statement Image was tweeted and previously posted here. MOO

I liked AM's paralegal, and look forward to telling someone they have their *advertiser censored* on the shoulders at the earliest opportunity! Her account gave us some insight in to how he got away with stealing for so long-a partner who is eccentric, erratic, doesn't follow any rules, but get things done. He played them all. He played everyone. Now it seems more plausible to me that Maggie didn't know about the thefts. AM had quite the dark side, the secret life.

I remember quite early, that Paul was identified as the main "target", and Maggie believed to have been in the wrong place at the wrong time-does anybody recall that? I think it was from SLED. I wonder why they thought that. It seems, with what we know now, that they both had to die that night. I hate to contemplate Buster's chances if he had dropped by that night.

I know some posters predicted a bomb threat, but I was surprised. The kind of surprised you feel when nothing much will surprise you at that point, if you know what I mean. Eric Bland, on the Cup of Justice podcast, opined that some jury members are already feeling put out. This waste of time won't help.

IMO, SLED never speculated by their investigation, a theory that PM was the target of the murder. Instead, it was AM that offered to anybody that would listen that the murders were the result of the boat crash in Feb 2019 where PM was arrested and charged with causing the death of Mallory Beach, and the injury of his friends that were passengers on the boat.

After committing a double murder, would someone have been able to send a video from son's phone, try to do whatever on wives phone, strip naked, wrap up guns and clothing to dispose of somewhere, shower all trace evidence off with a garden hose and change into clean clothes in under 20 minutes ?

Any reports of the property being searched for old wells, septic tanks, or abandoned tanks from old airfield ?
not likely, unless he had help, but this would contradict motive that he snapped on the same day. No time to plan all this with an accomplice.

It would be helpful if those who follow murders who get national attention remember this: the world is not a 60-minute episode of Law & Order. Especially in this high tech era, it takes time to investigate when phones, vehicles, security cam video (which may range over a number of miles, depending on the case), DNA and so on. In a place where people like the Murdaughs always seem to escape accountability, I understand why people felt cynical about the odds of arrest and trial. But this case actually moved pretty fast.

AM's motive for casting Paul as the main target is revolting. I did think that SLED said so too, but I'm probably mistaken. There has been so much information to process!

Sadly, neither my husband, nor my sister, have given me cause to say they have their *advertiser censored* on their shoulders yet. I am champing at the bit to use that, and have book club tonight, so who knows?

i wanted to like Buster.... but tonight I happened to listen to 30 minutes or so of the alex/ buster jail phone calls regarding Alex bribing Buster's way back in to Univ. of S.Carolina law school and blamed others for the "problem"/cheating he created. my opinion only, he is a little snot, who thinks the universe revolves around him. i don't care if it was the way he was raised- i wouldn't want to be around him.
That’s how I feel about the entire family.

Only thing missing -- a mistress. I'm shocked that there hasn't been evidence of one.

But I guess it's possible, that his only mi$tre$$ was money.

JMO
Yes, I’ve been perplexed the entire time about this lack of evidence. There has to be a mistress, stripper, or same sex lover. There has to be! Where did the money go? I’m waiting for the bombshell.

Buster mustn’t have a job since he is there everyday. I recall him not being able to pass the bar?
Absolutely, the Murdaugh Dynasty has been almost 100 years of lying, scheming and dirty business. It's not surprising that it has continued into 2023. It's their way of life, it's as natural to them as it is bizarre and unnatural to a normal person.

Annnnnd here we go. I wonder if this is legit and how many more stories will be coming out of the woodwork?

The article is from 6 months ago, wouldn't this have picked up traction by now if there was something there? Not to diminish her pain or experiences, of course.

I did not understand the meaning of this, even from the context? Please advise!

*advertiser censored* on their shoulders = ?
