How nefarious do you all think AM might be?

Did he try to stage the crime so that it looked like two people? And not to hint at vigilantes, but for a more useful reason. I do not think there was an actual second shooter, but what if, in his fantasy crime, there was another person?

Perhaps he visualized his brother, JMM, for example, at his side.

If he could imply that someone else helped him (when he was finally caught), then that person would go even further out of their way to avoid being mentioned. They would come to his aid, but he'd have a winch to reel one person in.

I guess my point is that AM had realized he was going to prison for life, so he needed leverage. Maybe he thought about asking JMM for help, even planned it to some degree in his mind, but did it all himself. Still, JMM would be very nervous if AM wanted his help and he had a reputation for being a fixer. And AM can point the finger of blame at JMM for years after this trial.

Is this person currently living at Moselle and/or helping with the staging there? What else could be going on behind the scenes whereby AM's siblings still do things for him? I know this sounds like a mafia movie, but, well, it is sort of like a mafia movie. Is it just regular sibling loyalty or does this family constantly corral its members, bringing them in through implication and innuendo?

The two-person theory is, to me, the only real snag that could raise reasonable doubt (although...darn it, AM is obviously one of the two people!)

But if he's really just pretending to be two people, can't he turn it in his favor in various ways? Does he lean in on JMM to support him because he's known to say "HE did it, Dad/Mom/everyone!" since childhood? Wouldn't his siblings realize this about him and know the consequences very well?

ALL speculation, just antsy for tomorrow.

Agreed! But the only person who has told us the dogs didn’t alert was Alex himself. Another lie perhaps. No other still alive witnesses could tell us about the dogs. Sadly.

I really wonder if this is what the post-court talk with the judge was about. And I hope they get fingerprints off something.
I was wondering the same thing.

Thank you for posting this. The episode went on for quite awhile. I first thought maybe a panic attack. His facial color went to real pallor like he was almost ready to faint. Hallucinations? Flash backs. Seems deep in some sort of thought. Very creepy, indeed.

I had also thought that previously it had been the state presenting the forensic evidence. Now it was his team and they were way, way more graphic about the brain, splatter, the pain that PM would have had. I had kind of hoped that he was internally finally admitted to himself that he was a family annihilator-- one minute piece of responsibility. Then, I thought better of it and thought he may have scored some jail house drugs and was thinking about self-harm. I do think his movement was that he was either deluded into thinking he could run or he was out of it and thought he was the lawyer of record--- probably the later.

I think, and just guessing here, but I think he was not sure exactly who he wanted to frame Connor or Anthony Cook (both occupants on boat crash), so I think he just wanted to confuse everyone and that is how he proceeded. I know he was so used to everyone covering up his crimes he never really thought it would come to this. The 9/4 incident was soo effing stoopid then everyone knew and that was his downfall...he staged one too many crises. JMO

Is there any evidence on the interwebs that anybody's been hanging around Moselle taking selfies or is that an invention of the defense? Conveniently Harpootlian got it on record that JMM is there, caretaking.

Staging creeped me out.

Are those real dormers? Not sure if curtains moved or just relections shifting across the glass but holy Amityville Hordaugh.

JMO

It's not a pretty site at all and being involved in engagements during my time in the service and seeing the damage done by weapons it leaves an imprint in your mind and one must carry it with care and put it to rest for it can eat at your soul, bout all I want to say about that.
Thank you so very much for your serive @Edvis

Have to say that many around my area (a bit north of their area) have those cute bikes. Some have wide tires for beach riding. But parking it in front of the house like that is totally staged, imo.

Yup, first thing I thought of when I saw that pic. I'll bet that that bike came directly from the beach house in Edisto. I live on the beach and it's pretty typical of the beat-up beach bike that people who live on the beach have or rental houses have for tourists to take out and ride along the beach. Looks like the chain and gear sprocket are rust which is what happens low on the bike from riding thru salty ocean water.

These threads have been flying for the last few days and there aren't enough waking hours to watch/listen to all of the testimony and keep up with the comments! I have to ask the crowd this, though. On day 23 Law and Crime Live at about 3:25 mark, did you all see AM go all dissociated, shaking, staring blankly and holding a pen in a disturbing pose? It was SO intense, Griffin was looking at him in dismay (not the normal "concern) and was also shooting looks at the judge, I think, to see if anyone else was noticing?? I thought he was getting ready to go grand mal. Also, I think it was the same day, the judge had everyone stand for a break and AM was still out of it and took a few steps toward the judge or forward and the marshals alerted fast! Did anyone else see that?
I just watched it and I have a very different perspective on it. MM and PM's autopsy photos were being shown to the defense witness. AM was in his sorrow mode (and like always, unconvincing to me) getting all psyched up to make a show of it. JG wasn't looking at AM, he was looking at DH showing the prosecution what photos/exhibits he was entering into evidence, then back at the judge a couple times. AM's behavior was, IMO, engineered and when DH finished and sat down he ask AM something and AM made a face then hung his head and started to blubber behind the computer screen. Then he violently swiped at his face with a tissue all over. Sorry but I'm not buying what he was trying to sell, not one bit. AJMO and I respect you and your interpretation.
