The fundraiser mentioned in the article has been removed. I hope the Troopers have video of the chase since the family is adamant that Imhotep Norman/O'Sha Norman did not exit the car when it began burning but rather before. When sparks were flying. IMO the family is gearing up to make it look like a coverup.

What does that even mean?? The "situation" is that her baby's father let his child burn to death in a car while he ran to escape the police. God didn't do anything.

What the heck is wrong with this family?

It is clear from the October arrest that this mother was aware of the drug dealing and she was in the car at that time with the baby and with the drugs when he was stopped and arrested. She needs to take a good long look at the facts. When I saw that fundraiser, as sad as I am for this child, I am unsure of either parent. What is a baby doing in a car at 10:30 when the dad is out running drugs?? As is the case in this incident.

I agree with you, God did not do this.

I hope they have the video, they were troopers I would think that there is both dash cam and body cam but we shall see. Regardless, the car was sparking, he knew it and the child died as a result of the resulting fire.

This family is impossible to fathom even allowing for grief. From what we are seeing thus far anyhow.

Maybe I’ve missed it somewhere, but I’ve read the child’s mom was in the car also. Why didn’t she get the baby out?

There is video from the patrol cars that has not been released yet. Don't know if they will hold it for trial.
I cannot post here but there is bystander video clearly showing 'dad' exiting car on fire and running off into woods with his cellphone.

I caught a few new things (at least to me) on these videos, the ones on the left of your link with the Fox reporters. In the top one the reporter states he bailed out of the car from the passenger side while it was moving. I had to go back and listen again to confirm. So in this case, he left his daughter in a moving car as well?

In the bottom video, it says he did not show up for a hearing in February for his other charges so they argued bond-wise that he is a flight risk. There is much indication in all of the videos that he has ample prior charges and not just the October ones.

I guess I do not understand just where he thought life was going to go with such choices. I am now going to guess in addition to drugs in the car, he knew he had a likely active warrant when he fled, yet he keeps selling drugs and taking his daughter along with...

I have never seen a defendant that close to a judge and leaning over their bench as a side note. It seems a bit of an unsafe practice. It must be different in different states.

Did they stop supporting him? I missed that but am glad to hear it if it is the case. I had hoped the support was simply a family giving him the benefit of the doubt until they knew otherwise and not full out blindness. The dash cam video release was necessary I think to put any doubts to rest for all in fact. I wonder what he is saying now. No matter what it is, he made several choices right up to that last choice which, if he had made a different choice in any one instance, she would most likely still be here. Perhaps harsh of me but I think true.

Yeah the family was quoted in the second link that formerjerseygirl posted that I replied to. I’m on my tiny phone while I’m out of town so I didn’t do a cut and paste quote like I usually do.

Anyway, before they kept saying they knew him and he’d never abandon Xena. I think it was quite a shock to see the video.

They made Xena the focus, not him. We don’t see that too often in the threads here.

Thank you, I will have to go back and look at that. I am sure it was not an easy thing for them to see and one can understand them not wanting to believe it until they knew for sure.

Such an unnecessary loss of a little one.

Moments later as the car becomes fully engulfed, a trooper realizes the driver has escaped out the passenger side.

The visual truth is adding new pain to a wound that hasn't even begun to heal.

"He was still driving the car, he didn't even pull over to stop, then I knew, he didn't care nothing about that baby, he didn't care about nobody but himself," said Palmer.

She as well as other relatives were there Friday with Xena's mother, whose grief was too overwhelming to talk.

They requested this video be released. The road to healing will be long, but they believe the truth means Xena can rest in peace.

"I used to love O'sha, he was a good person, but now I seen the real person. He lied for himself. So I want justice for my baby and my grandbaby and may baby that's all I want," said Palmer.

The family of Xena's mother has appreciated the support of people who have donated to their Go Fund Me page to help pay for the funeral costs for Xena. They wanted to clarify, none of the money will go towards Norman, and will all be used to pay for the unexpected costs of burrying a child.

The video shows all and confirms all that LE said. He even stopped and then took off again. This man clearly and without doubt put his *advertiser censored** above that of his child's life.

His lies were quite stupid actually. People seeing the dash cam would have to believe he did not know part after part was falling off of the car in flames, flames were rolling, smoke was rampant, he stopped when in flames and still took off again (so he clearly was able to stop), drove around a car that passed him to help pull him over, he bailed out of the car himself and one knows he would have kept driving unless he could not any longer. And never once worried about her. He also bailed out the passenger side away from LE and fled, leaving his child to die.

The things said in the beginning were also such that they were meant to portray doubt against LE and their honesty. The video confirms every bit of what LE stated. The only person who put this child in danger was her father.

This man stood and lied and "cried" to a judge face to face and to his baby's mother and family, as well as his own mother.

A picture (or video) truly can be worth 1,000 words.
