MISSING PERSON – AYR
Officers at Ayr are continuing enquiries and appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing a 44 year-old woman who is missing from her home in the town.
Karen Steele (44) of Victoria Street, Ayr was last seen around 12.20am on Monday 14th January 2019 leaving a public house in River Street, Ayr.
Karen is described as 5ft 4 inches in height and of slim build with collar-length black hair. When she was last seen she was wearing a blue quilted jacket, black dress with black tights and shoes.
Inspector Hamillton from Ayr Police Office said: “Karen has not been missing before and it is totally out of character for her to not keep in contact with her family and friends, and they are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety and wellbeing.
“We have been carrying out enquiries and searches in the local area but so far we have been unable to trace her.
“I would urge anyone who has seen Karen, or anyone with any information on her whereabouts to contact Ayr Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 2543 of 15th January 2019.”
