Searches for Lisa

I hope it wasnt one of those inexperienced searchers. This happened anywhere between a 1/4 of a mile to 1 & 1/4 of a mile to the east of where they discovered the well. It's a short road that runs along the railroad tracks. There is one intersection that crosses with another street. Perhaps this guy was trying to beat a train. No details released yet.

This happened around 5pm, and the police activity I saw today was around 11am. I hope this wasnt someone out walking the tracks looking for Lisa. You just can't go walking around on railroad tracks. It's not legal and it's not safe. Very unsafe.

I just don't understand this. A person has time to get off a RR tract when a train is coming. The only scenario's I've seen is where a car stalled and occupants couldn't get out in time and years ago a case where a man was beat unconscious and placed on the tracts to be run over.

Indepmo, are you saying the police presence yesterday at 11am is 1 ¼ to ¼ mile away from the well that was discovered near the casino?

I am very interested in this police gathering yesterday! At the very least, it gives me hope that LE is still interested.

No I am not saying that.

A man was struck by a train last evening that distance away to the east of the well.

The police presense was to the west and several hours earlier.

I've tried to look. Years ago, there was an excellent psychic with black hair and her first name was Doris. I don't remember the last name. But the police used her A LOT. She was in her 60's at the time I saw her on TV but she has since passed away. She would come up with names and intials and had the most astonishing details that proved to be true. But I remember that from reading about her and seeing her on TV back then, and would love to find out and read something now if any of the info she actually gave to people about names of the rapists, killers, ever turned out to be right on.

Well, we have only to see how things turn out in this case to see how much, if any, of this psychic's vision turn out to be true. If baby Lisa did drown in the tub, that makes sense to me why the baby was being carried around in just a diaper because she had no clothes on in the tub and the diaper maybe was just put on to put 'something' on the child. I don't know. We'll have to see.

I've had dreams years ago of plane crashes before they happened. It was very frightening. Two weeks later, the plane crash would happen as I saw it. But not 100% as I saw it. Thankfully, that has stopped.

Wow, I guess the self-professed psychic who prompted the search at the old casino/education center did get some television exposure. Maybe it will aid her in getting that reality show she wants for herself and her family, according to her blog? Since the "Search at the Old Casino" thread is closed, figured best to post here.

I didn't see this posted anywhere, apologies if I missed it. It is an interview from 11/30 on Megyn Kelly and covered by Huffington post. You can watch video at below link. In the video, the interviewer states that police confirmed to her that they would be searching the old well and the psychic claims that she predicted drugs and alcohol would be involved at the start of Lisa's case and that she predicted several names that have come to pass in the case. Imo, all bunk, but JMO...

I believe she has since said she will not be working on any more missing children cases; since the fall out of accusations against her.

Obviously, MK didn't see those ludicrous youtube videos (thank you, DrFessel!) before booking this woman.

Can we start a new poll? Who looks more whacko in the above double-box? MK or Almaguer? :floorlaugh:

Wow, a KC K9 jumped out of a police car up north of the river and took off this morning at 4:00 am. Can't find the dog. Can you imagine what a miracle it would be if this dog happened to find Lisa? It would be such a boost for K9's and their charities. Hope the brave officer canine is alright.

I was just discussing this with family members. He's probably sitting on a drug dealers porch.

I hope it wasn't an apprehension dog and got loose while on command:eek:

:eek:nline: I watched a Dateline episode this morning where a man had been murdered and the remains shoved into a manhole about a mile away from the assailant's house. Detectives had already pulled up every manhole cover and searched deep inside each one. I guess they "missed" this particular manhole. A few years later, the killer himself told police where to find the remains; he had already been convicted and sent to prison.

I mention this because we do see cases where areas are searched, maybe over and over again, and somehow bodies are missed or overlooked. It happened in the Caylee Anthony case too. I want to see more searches in the case of Lisa Irwin!

Oh lovely, a police K9 on the loose, that could be bad. Wonder what in the heck made it jump out and ignore its handler???? Not proper behavior for sure!

I agree except for the case of Caylee, nobody did look where she was at. Only a cop who didn't want to look just glanced.
Here is a quote from Jeff Ashton

http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/jeff-ashtons-book-casey-made-nuclear-lie-about-cay/nFdSY/

"In the end, Murphy's Law prevailed: everyone assumed that
someone else had searched there, but in fact no one actually had,"
Ashton writes. "Everyone, including law enforcement, assumed that
the most obvious place had to have been combed and given the all
clear -- which just proves the adage about what happens when you
assume. Everybody ends up looking like and *advertiser censored* and a nation spent
an extra four months searching around the country for a lost little
girl who was a quarter mile from home."

At least LE here was trying very hard to keep this from happening. Not that they could have overlooked things, but the did actually look.

Good gosh, I'm a psychic too... When I read about these cases I often think that drugs or alcohol are involved, and about 99 % of the time I would be right...

It doesn't take a psychic to predict that imo.

Any searches I've ever been involved with has all manhole covers being pulled and looked into, as long as it's on the map. Sometimes it's the places that go unnoticed that holds the key. I know of other searches where remains are discovered at a later time.

I wish there were searches going on in areas nearby that have not been covered. They need to be performed. General code of conduct and protocol is for the family member(s) of the missing person(s) to request search and rescue. There are so many highly trained groups sitting idle while fall foilage is covering he ground, and most likely snow in the very near future.

bbm. i'm glad you mentioned this, indepmo. i was thinking about this today. how much snow does the KC area get on average every year? how many days, i guess? i live in New Orleans, i don't know anything about snowfall.

This time of year, we might have a dusting or so, but it is not unheard of to get dumped on now. Typically here we get ICE! Lot's of it. Not fun. A big snow for here is 4" or so, but can be much more once in a while. This part of the country we can go through what feels like all 4 seasons in 1 day!:floorlaugh: The motto here is "if you are not happy with the weather, wait a little while".
