The guy defended Joran Van der Sloot, who killled one woman in Brazil for sure and left a bloody mess, and one in Aruba who has never been found. I'm not trusting this lawyer, period. And maybe I'm far too cynical now, but I do look at past cases, especially when the exact same words have been said.

Yes, but someone has to defend the guilty. If you're entitled to an attorney under the law, that doesn't go away if you're not a nice person. I think most of the folks at the public defender's office are good people, even if they defend some scummy criminals. Who you defend, pr prosecute for that matter, shouldn't define who you are.
