When I look at the aerial photos of where they found Shannon and her belongings, I am reminded of the ominous vacant lot next the Holiday Inn where one of the girls went missing from. The tire tracks also remind me of the aireal views of Gilgo on google around the time Shannon went missing. The tracks are like from a four wheel truck?

Hard to say from that pics, but the area would indicate a 4WD. However, that doesn't mean, it's the same. There are so many of them around and the ones on the SG pics could be the same from the search and police, who used also 4 wheelers.
And yes, bad things happen in dark places. Because in brightly light places, people would faster see, something is going awry and avoid it. So, on this level of generalization, we're almost at "breathing saves lives" or "SKs tend to kill people". Not much we can draw from that.

Peter

I agree. That makes sense. He knew he would have some explaining to do. So why help her tell them the address. After all she did say "They are trying to kill me" or something to that effect. It was reported that in some of that call that you can tell she was running. I believe she was totally frightened for good reason and in distress. She called 911 because she needed help and no one was there to help her. Coletti tried to help by calling 911 and giving them the real location, but the response of LE was lackadaisical.

Last act at Brewer's place, confusion galore, unknown addresses, hysteria, perceived threats, frantic communications, and darkness: think Theatre of the Absurd and that's what was going on then and there. Stranger than fiction, yet strangely true. Save for the drifter, who remains elusive, who may have whispered something into Shannan's ear to spook her and catapult the scene into the next act, the polygraphs on Brewer and Pak and Diaz absolve them of any involvement in SG's demise. IMO, their stories ring true despite their sordid rap sheets and nefarious pasts. When Brewer says, "I couldn't hurt a fly," I believe him. When Pak says he tested Shannan's mental state of mind by asking her about the movie she had seen a few hours earlier, and when she answered correctly, when he says, "Shannan's what's going on? Let's go," I believe him. Not so sure about that drifter, though; and a pall of suspicion on anybody refusing to take a polygraph test when one is requested.

Only, you don't sound like Samuel Becket, <modsnip>. The real point is, you got nothing, not even a reasonable motive. And the only thing happening without motive is normally an accident. So, what you would need would be motive, opportunity and possibility. But since the opportunity went by unused while someone gave her enough time for an at least 18 minute call to 911, the possibility became an impossibility. And by that, while I admit to value literary fiction a lot, that's the end of this story. After that endless phone call, all options are, to accept it was an accident and caused maybe by negligence in connection with drug abuse. That would, if you can prove it at least give Brewer and Pak something, probably on parole.
Oh, and by the way, all those conspiracy workers, you realize, Shanna Gilbert maybe didn't even have a hyoid bone when she went out to Brewer?

Peter

Are you saying that some people don't have hyoid bones?

Some of people don't. People who had extensive serious injuries of the mandible sometimes have none anymore. You would recognize such a set of remains usually by the titanium plate in the jaw. Ooooops ... but then, there is also a chance, a small one as I admit, someone has after such an extensive injury still the hyod bone. So maybe, Shannan Gilbert, who had exactly such an injury and the plate in her jaw still her hyod bone.

Peter

The hyoid bone is the only free floating bone in the human body. It is also small. If a body is partially skeletonized it is pretty easy for it to be carried off by an animal. The fact that it is not there means nothing. The body was found in a swamp that is likely full of small animals looking for things to eat.

The hard part is not to realize that, the hard part is to explain it to someone who is convinced the hyoid was stolen because it was broken. Look in this thread backwards to see the handstands some attempted to make this "evidence for murder"

Good point about the possible hyoidectomy predating May 1. Perhaps you are right, Peter. I'll have to think about it.

No offense, but listening to you on the first radio interview / talk show, I find you the most boring. I also was waiting for them to do another than you were the host. Very Boring & I can see why people do not bother now. The victims are still victims & people target people they do not know. Have some class, I do not do drugs EVER or DRINK, I just cared about a VICTIM SG & felt no one cared.

Very disappointed in why this is allowed & why you are above TOS, always favorites here.

i guess PB is a movie star on here, just putting down people he does not know. Like who are you, seriously....why even mention me, evidently you have a BIG AGENDA.

So I am a male & I smoke POT????????

Now I know you are a total lunatic because you are wrong on SOOOO many LEVELS!
But your pals here let you have free reign.

Sorry if I misinterpreted your occasionally inconsistent "speech". Must be something else then. And otherwise, feel free to find me boring. we live in a free country. I find you annoying too. However, accusing the mods and owners of WS of favoritism sounds a wee bit over the top and claiming the right to re-interpret the TOS ... well, I suggest, you discuss that with the owners then.

I assure you, there is no conspiracy between me, the illuminati, any Oak Beach residents or the owners of Websleuths.com. I also assure you, I was never involved in any 9/11 inside jobs nor preparations of alien invasions. Happy now?

I find your posts to be informative and always look forward to reading them Mr. B.
To each his own.

If Pak would have told her a wrong location, it had to be before they went out. Don't forget, it was SG, who made out on the phone with Brewer, not Pak. But well, assume for a moment, she was so stupid not to know where her john was. Which begs the question how Pak knew in the first place where
Brewer lived.
So to make this work, Brewer not only had to know, SG would hire Pak to drive her out (he is not the only driver in NYC) but Pak had to know aforehand because if your idea would be right, he couldn't get the address from SG, she didn't know where to go in the first place.
So, we have the following murderers conspire to kill SG:

- Brewer, who had to arrange beforehand, it was Pak, SG would hire to drive her out.
- Pak, who told her a total another location, which makes it premeditated
- The drifter, who waited already in Brewer's house
- CPH, for what reasons ever.
- The 911 dispatcher who didn't look up Brewer's address which would have solved the mystery where SG was in a jiff but didn't on purpose
- the cops in the patrol car driving over to Oak Beach because they took intentionally their time because they knew, Brewer, the experienced SK was stupid enough to let SG sitting with the cell phone behind his sofa talking to the police while doing what exactly. He could only effort this anyway if he knew, the whole police force of Suffolk Co was in on his conspiracy. Unless of course, you claim, he had influence on the shift plans to make sure his accomplices in the police were on duty that night ...

Oh yeah, that makes total sense to me - NOT!

Peter

In the A&E "long Island Serial Killer" program there was an interview with Shannan Gilbert's driver Michael Pak.

In that interview it seems, IMO, that it was Michael Pak who talked to Joseph Brewer and made the arrangement.

And the fact that Shannan Gilbert didn´t know where she was at when she called 911, indeed indicate that it was Michael Pak that
made the arrengement with Joseph Brewer and NOT Shannan Gilbert.
After all, it WAS Michael Pak who drove the car that night and found his way to Joseph Brewer's house.

This is what Michael Pak said in the interview:

Michael Pak interview at 2:33 :
" He (Joseph Brewer) said he was on Long Island, so I go; not so far...but then he offered 2 hours for 450$ and so, since there was no other appointments she (Shannan Gilbert) said ok lets go.
It took like a while to get there, it gets darker and darker, I was like; oh my God where are we going"

SO, IMO this indicate that is WAS Michael Pak who made the arrangement with Brewer and NOT Shannan Gilbert.

Foreignor
Youre right. It was reported in one of the suffolk county board meeting minutes that brewer had contacted Pak that night to arrange the date. Sorry but i cant find and post the link right now.

... she (Shannan Gilbert) said ok lets go ... Which means, she was involved in the decision to go or not to go. She said .. which she couldn't if she wouldn't be involved. Still, you're right that she didn't need to know the actual address. Even that brings only one point off the table.
