I am very versatile with my music.. I am a rocker at heart, but love all kinds of music...sure could use some of that cold beer and crawfish neighbor !

Beer and crawfish was last night...fundraiser for the Rodeo Committee

Tonight it's BBQ chicken, venison sausage, collard greens and WATER, lots of water

I grew up on rock music but seem to listen to mostly country now

Wow !!! yummm except for the greens lol !

Hi Ricki! We definitely are in tune with each other. I don't care if some people think Lenny Kravitz is a Hendrix wannabe or whatnot - he knows how to rock and is, well, fine (stupid Lisa Bonet).

Now this next selection may be controversial but I'm willing to defend my choice; it combines the questionable elements of Nickelback, American Idol and David Archuleta (no offense meant to fans of any or all), but I was and am a big fan of David Cook and was thrilled when he won AI. This was just an amazing duet and I'll bet $1000 Sleuth5 didn't see this coming:

David Cook vs David Archuleta Hero duet 5/21/08 - YouTube

(geez, could I get any more long-winded?)

Vivi - I did not watch AI, but that is a beautiful duet!

I went to Halloween one year as Luci from beyond the grave, and hubby was supposed to come as Desi from beyond the grave. He showed up at my company HW party as Ethel, and I was quite beyond shocked, but he looked hilarious!

And just for the record, I have not seen him cross dress before or since. :)

As far as music...if anyone ever finds my ipod they will surely think it belongs to a multiple personality person haha !

Yum! Love collard greens, and especially the pot likker!

We took the last of the collard plants out of the garden a couple weeks ago, made collard green stew, and canned 6 quarts.

Oh, that makes me think of City/Country/City.

Any Jazz Crusaders fans here? You may not remember them as a band, but it included Joe Sample, Larry Carlton, Wilton Felder, and Stix Hooper originally.

I can't find a link to that song, darn. Here's one to "Way Back Home"

No wonder I couldn't find that song, it was by War, not Jazz Crusaders, doh!

I went to the AI tour that year and saw him raise up w/ his piano thru the floor. Yes I was on my feet having palpitations like all the rest of the teenagers. :D What a cutie. (speaking of Archuleta of course LOL -- isn't this the True Confessions thread?)

PS I'm over here LMAO at "questionable elements". hahahhaaa

I would have been right there with you, kiddo! For the first and only time, I voted like a crazed person for David Cook to win, even corralled Fred Mertz of all people to use his cell phone minutes to power vote... we had 3 phones going!

One of many great performances:

One of the best female voices I've ever heard...what a range. I've seen her in concert too. Why doesn't everyone to know her?

Thanks for posting this, Katie. I never heard of her before, but I'm a fan now. God bless YouTube, and the people who pass along great music picks!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Thats terrible. It's vomit juice. Bad memory, bad. bad memory.

I'm sorry. I had one of those the other day when my dear friend tried to pass me a Jack and Coke and I almost out of PTSD hit her in the face. LOL (kidding of course--I'm a pacifist!).
