Do any of you think this may be a ploy by the DT to get jurors inadvertently exposed to the particulars of this case by these delays?

Barring the media from the courtroom, removing the "public" from the courtroom, and then the Court of Appeals? A week off for the jury right after the Stay?

I think Nurmi is just stalling, hoping that maybe some jurors won't be able to stay on the jury until January, but your theory sounds feasible too.

The motion filed requests two separate issues. One is #Joinder and the other is for an #OmnibusHearing. Let's deal with the easy one first. The Omnibus Hearing on Motion to Dismiss the Death Penalty is the defense requesting an opportunity to present all new and old reason why #JodiArias should not be eligible for the death penalty. Omnibus simply means a multiple of theories will be presented.

As for the #joinder issue, this one can be many different things. My initial thought is the defense is seeking the joinder of the #media attorney in seeking a stay of the proceedings until the COA decision is reached. Nurmi may be seeking some help in not moving forward and presenting their witnesses out of order. It can also be many other things possibly dealing with multiple motions related to the sealed testimony and witnesses. We will have to wait to find out.

There should be a Minute Entry posting today that may give us some insight.

Hi everyone. I watched the FrontLine (I think) that someone (I think YorN)posted of the men in isolation in Maine and then the Angela Simpson video which I had seen before.
This has nothing to do with JA. But, don't you think they are all mentally ill. I felt sorry for the young man that just spoke with his two year old daughter for the first time. But they continued to do things that kept them isolated. How is this not mentally ill?
Angela seems so ill. She was taking responsibility in her own way for what she had done and would do again. It was horrible I know. I get all this. How does a normal person do any of this? I don't think they should be released. I kind of like what the warden was trying to do. All though at the end, you see what happened. It just seems there should be some kind of answer.
I was just wondering what you all think.
Obviously I am not a good candidate for a Death Penalty jury. Also I have no sympathy for JA. Just want to be clear about this.

I had always thought that people who murder were mentally ill, but now, after much research and watching the trials, I think that these people are just "bad seeds" who are missing their humanity.
I would not make a good juror- I've been called twice and have been rejected from both.

Added: I think most people who are "mentally ill" don't kill.

I do not have a twitter account, so i have been reading just the hashtag. I'm a bit of a twitnitwit. :blushing:

Thanks for suggesting this :doh: as I hadn't thought of going to each individual's twitter feed and reading them in different tabs. It will make it much easier to find the info I want rather than sort through CMJA supporters and angry folk and others who post inappropriate images.

I honestly don't know what to make of that interwiew with the snitch killer. I think she was on, and playing around in that interview. How does anyone torture a man for days, maliciously kill him, then cut up his body and burn him? Because he was a snitch, and snitched on people she didn't know? Something is wrong with her and she is probably a danger to other inmates, especially given that she said she would kill again. Thinks she is going to have a great time in prison with her "sisters." Right.

I had a nightmare...I talked to Jodi Arias in person-- her face looked round and pale. I actually wished her the best of luck (barf) for the 'retrial and for an appropriate verdict' and then we continued chatting for a bit in a most friendly manner. :scared:
