What's the difference between a psychopath and a sociopath:
Dr. Robert Hare, Professor, Canada and world leader in the study of psychopathic behavior
Sociopath: hardcore criminal, ie, such as a hit man, capable of feeling remorse or guilt.
*Psychopath:
vicious
violent
no remorse
lack of guilt
violates social mores and norms
irresponsible behavior
shallow
superficial
deceitful
dominant (want to control people)
sense of entitlement
lack of empathy
no conscience
implusive (controlled)
need for excitement
sexual promiscuity in superficial terms
pathological lying
behavioral problem as a kid
parasitic lifestyle
*None of these traits on its own defines a psychopath, but taken together, they do.
Dr. James Blair, Cognitive Neuroscience Research, MD, states that psychopathy is an emotional disorder, its not that a psychopath does not care, its that they cannot care, they have trouble processing emotional information.
The majority of psychopaths will not kill anyone.
JMO:
*jaCK has ALL of the above traits, describes her to a tee
which then begs the question, if an individual has most of these psychopathic traits at what point can/do we consider them dangerous and/or violent because we do not know their breaking point, as we see in the jaCK case, scary.
