What do people expect as to the length of time the jury will take to come to a decision?

A lot of the TH's aren't giving it much time at all.

A lot of it may boil down to how closing arguments are presented, with particular attention paid to explaining the jury instructions. IMO, if it is well presented as a formulaic decision to arrive at the most severe penalty, then I could see a verdict after 6 to 8 hours of deliberation.

I am hoping that the remaining testimony wraps up today, giving the jury enough time to begin deliberations. I say hope, because we have seen too many delays along the way.

I can't believe nobody believes there were threats against Patty Womack. Of course it will NOT cause a mistrial. Look what happened to ALV? Patty put herself all over the map. I remember her first call into Nancy Grace... Didn't want her full name released ...but let Nancy put up her PICTURE! Another genius.

The only important thing is justice for Travis.

I believe at this point, 99% of the people do NOT believe anything this defense team puts out. To most 1/2 way intelligent people, it was obvious this defense team used lies as the defense and have no credibility at all. The jury feels the same way, IMHO, based on the decisions they've made thus far.

The report that JA's bff received death threats, well gotta figure the source, IMHO.

Not even JA's family feels inclined to speak up for their own daughter. That in itself speaks volumes.

I totally get what you're saying ... BUT why would the defense team or Jodi and Donovan conspire to get rid of one of the character witnesses that Jodi NEEDS. We all saw what ALV got via social media. Patty was all over the media. I guarantee you she got some serious flack by way of facebook or something. Of course MK is not our most reliable unbiased source... but the idea that Jodi orchestrated this to get a mistrial makes no sense to me. I would venture to say 90% of all the requests for mistrial are just SOP/CYA in a capital case.

This chick really does not get it....this jury is OVER her. Murder in the first; extreme cruelty...GET IT, JA?? So she displays her "art," and the jurors think: "OK, she can color between the lines. Big whoop." Then they can thrill her with their own art work, right there on the dotted line: Death Penalty.

G'Night all! This was the most amazing thread today. Loved all the pet pics and a wonderful leisurely stroll down memory lane.

Not looking forward to the Arias Art Show tomorrow. That has got to be the epitome of Narcissism. A raging grandiosity so great I expect to see her head spin 360 degrees on its axis. She's asking for the death penalty doing that...just not the way she thinks.

Perfectly put....the thread was "a wonderfully leisure stroll." And yet, a few new (to me at least) insights on JAs MO managed to work their way to the surface. Mods were grrrrreat in keeping us "above board," so to speak. TY

Is Patty the one whose wedding Jodi was in and we've seen the pictures on NG? She's the one who sounded completely out of it when she called in that time?

The one who told the touching, heartwarming story of how Jodi couldn't afford to be a bridesmaid in her wedding, but Jodi and Patti's dad got together and he bought Jodi's dress (and flew her to the wedding??) and Jodi surprised Patti at the wedding and for a gift Jodi was going to do a photo package.

except, Patti most likely would have eliminated or replaced that bridesmaid, a surprise wedding guest maybe, but surprise bridesmaid? I don't think so

and then there's the fact that Jodi is in all the pictures....who took them? Now we alll know Jodi is her favorite subject but these aren't head-shot selfies, these are staged wedding photos.

So, IMO, that whole story is right up there with the cinnabon story, pure fantasy. Only made up by Patti.

I think she sits in full view and tries to "remind" the jurors about religion/beliefs (just guessing...maybe forgiveness???) via a ginormous piece of religious jewelry that she seems to like.

If I recall correctly, I think Nurmi gave the names of the people that would testify in JA behalf. This is just a ploy, IMO to have a reason for the jury why PW will not be testifying today. I don't believe there were threats against PW. There is another reason for her not standing up for JA and I think it is her past record.
