@marmolheater @SonarJose @RJWinfield @BirdLawDS @justme277 guys. Getting a lot of mean emails about Jodz http://www.phillyvoice.com/philly-rapper-uses-jodi-arias-case-ptsd-awareness-campaign/ …

WATCH: Philly rapper uses Jodi Arias case for PTSD awareness campaign

"..While his first video drew quite a bit of backlash since it was a defense of Arias, Williams said this week that his new track is designed to raise awareness about the issue

of post-traumatic stress disorder affecting domestic-violence victims...

An excerpt of the video itself can be seen below, with the full version being released on Jan. 5:.."

This article is about his 1st rap: (he's an idiot, IMO )

Jodi Arias rap? Yep! It's from a former South Philly guy

"...Williams, a former South Philly resident who moved to Phoenix about 4 years ago, says Arias didn't get a fair trial because of the media hype around the trial.

And he bases this opinion on experience. He attended the trial every chance he got, and blogged about it on his site, realentertainmentnews.com.

He uses the rap to settle scores with Phoenix-based TV newsman Troy Hayden, who he says used Arias' fame to gain national exposure, only to "stab her in the back," in subsequent coverage.

And he says too little attention has been given to the role Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder played in the murder...

Williams is selling the song, which is titled "Jodi Ann Arias" on the iTunes store for $0.99. But $0.34 of that goes toward the Jodi Arias appeals fund.

If it isn't you cup of tea, consider this: it's been listened to about 141,000 times through a free streaming service. Plus, Jodi's family likes it too.

"I talked to her aunt, her aunt said 'Thank you for writing that song,'" Williams said."

Google Pairs With Ford To Build Self-Driving Cars

"Google and Ford will create a joint venture to build self-driving vehicles with Google’s technology, a huge step by both companies toward a new business of automated ride sharing, Yahoo Autos has learned.

According to three sources familiar with the plans, the partnership is set to be announced by Ford at the Consumer Electronics Show in January. By pairing with Google, Ford gets a massive boost in self-driving software development; while the automaker has been experimenting with its own systems for years, it only revealed plans this month to begin testing on public streets in California. Google has 53 test vehicles on the road in California and Texas, with 1.3 million miles logged in autonomous driving...."

South Korean "mock funerals" seek to ease life's stresses

"SEOUL, South Korea -- In a dimly lit room, people dressed in white burial shrouds slowly sit up inside the wooden coffins where they had been lying, enclosed, for 10 minutes. Blinking, pale and solemn, they say they thought about their past and their loved ones while inside the coffins and vow to live better lives now...

The mock funerals are part of a "well-dying" trend in South Korea, a sign that the country, once one of the world's poorest after the devastating 1950-53 Korean War, has grown affluent enough to consider quality-of-life issues.

Supporters credit the services with helping participants map out better futures, but critics say they are nothing but money-making businesses...

Tuesday's service drew 16 people. Before they climbed into their coffins, they listened to a lecture on life and death, watched a TV documentary on a woman dying of a cancer saying farewell to her family, and wrote their own wills..."

You're going to regret ditching cable in 5 years, according to analysts

"Ditching your cable subscription may feel liberating, but analysts say you could regret it in five years.

In a note to investors on Monday, Needham analysts warned that "consumers pay for everything in the end."

This means that features you love — like on-demand viewing, à la carte channels, and entire seasons available at once — are going to drive up costs..."

Your Life in Weeks

"This is a long human life in years:

Years.png

And here’s a human life in months:...

Months1.png

Sometimes life seems really short, and other times it seems impossibly long. But this chart helps to emphasize that it’s most certainly finite. Those are your weeks and they’re all you’ve got.

Given that fact, the only appropriate word to describe your weeks is precious...

The boxes can also be a reminder that life is forgiving. No matter what happens each week, you get a new fresh box to work with the next week. It makes me want to skip the New Year’s Resolutions—they never work anyway—and focus on making New Week’s Resolutions every Sunday night. Each blank box is an opportunity to crush the week—a good thing to remember...."

Nebraska actress Angela McEwan dies at 81

"Angela McEwan, who realized her lifelong dream of becoming a professional actress in her 70s and had a scene-stealing turn in Nebraska, died Dec. 20 from complications of lung cancer. She was 81...

McEwan played a small-town newspaper editor in director Alexander Payne’s offbeat 2013 road dramedy, delivering what New York Times film critic Manohla Dargis called “a flawlessly calibrated wistful performance.”.."

Well Kiddles of The Sidebar, looks like I won't be with y'all for Christmas. :(

Got the dreaded letter in my inbox this AM from my internet provider. :sigh:

2009 - Hoax Balloon Boy’s parents given jail sentences Dec. 23rd , 2009 : The man who triggered a major alert by falsely claiming that his son was adrift in a helium balloon has been sentenced to ninety days in jail, and his wife to twenty. Richard Heene, and his wife Mayumi, said in October that their son had been carried off by the balloon. The boy was eventually found hiding at home. Heene apologised to rescue workers and the community in the Colorado courtroom. The judge ordered four years of supervised probation for the couple and banned them from receiving any form of financial benefit from the case.

Boy, you read the body language of dear dad and son. He seems to be an controlling and abusive in the videos when Falcon tells the world they did it for the show.

And on the one where Falcon throws up, I wonder if he'd been drugged, and it made him sick. He seem sedated at first. Dad is very uncomfortable. This interview was after Falcon said they did it for the show. Why didn't dear old dad stop the interview right then for his sick little boy? He is very uncomfortable and almost blowing chunks himself.

I also can't believe these two people would be on a wife swap program. Who would put up with him? I'd be kicking his *advertiser censored*.

That is really amazing. Who would have thunk it. LOL

I never would have guessed it would be more advantageous to switch answers after Monty revealing the goat behind one of the doors you didn't pick. Its really amazing.

I think what probably struck a chord with everyone is that show was very popular back then. We all played at home screaming at our TVs to pick a certain door or curtain. And the fear of getting ZONKED. :)

Wayne Brady is doing the Lets Make a Deal show now. He is pretty good at it and I still like watching the show.

I like when they do the small prizes in the tiny boxes in front of the person and sometimes its 1000.00 or so in the little tiny box and a lot of people pick the bigger box on stage and sometimes get a goat. LOL

When driving under the Hudson river and while in the tunnel if you look closely at the walls you will typically see small leaks of water dripping down the walls. Its not a very comfortable feeling going through. :)

But its been that way for many years so I guess it will hold up a few more years. LOL

I've been through the tunnel in Mobile Alabama ,when I ran away to get married at eighteen, (three years before meeting dh) and I was scared that something would happen and it would flood. And I've been in the tunnel in Maryland? (Zuri knows the one) that was scary. There was a lot of of construction going on. I guess we need to add tunnels to our no bridges for our trip.

If you didn't see the bus we want for dh and you to drive here is a quick view of it. What state are you in?" Anywhere near our Canadian friends? Bravo and I think Jasper will waiting at the border for us before we travel across the Atlantic for our tour of Europe and pick up Susza as our guide.

Another funny thing I love about the "Lets Make a Deal" show is when the host asks women for some crazy object in their purse. LOL

Like do you have a fork in your purse? LOL :)

LOL, that's what our bus trip is for. Goodbye worries and stress. Welcome good company, food and beverages, we'll visit art museums, tour the seven wonders of the world. Both ancient and new and updated. We'll dive in the deepest oceans, and climb the highest mountains which IIRC was the one thing you wanted to see on our trip.

GigiG, I promise no Stillman or Atkins diets. But then again, on the Atkins you can have the best steaks, with extra sharp cheddar cheese and A-1 on the side. Nice big salads and strawberries and melons, to be healthy.

YesorNo, I love the second one the most.

Hey Niner, have you gone to bed with the chicken yet?

Dmacky, my Kentucky friend, just what did you use orange peels for? LOL a leaf of lettuce and a slice of apple works just as well.

Hatfield, just about the only man that's brave enough to join our trip, thank you so much for your poem, its things like that bring us all together.

Susza, do people in Europe go as nuts for Christmas as we in America do?

Caylee Av., glad and others have joined us. It's nice to have another opinion and viewpoint. Sometimes it helps to put things in perspective, and helps us to see we're not all crazy.

Zuri, have you ever jumped bareback? or free riding?

Pages, I think you have been hitting the spiked eggnog a bit much lol. Heck NO!! I can't ride like that, nor could I ever ride like that. My daughter has ridden bareback with just lead ropes attached to the halter. Not me. I needed a seatbelt and all the help I could get. That girl has amazing balance and thigh muscles to stay on like that. Thanks for sharing the video!

Hello! I am up from the sick bed, but hubby is not...placed an order for a meat/cheese tray, veggie tray and cookies & chips for Christmas. I don't think I will feel like cooking. They can eat it or not LOL. I have coughed so hard and so often, my ribs are sore.

I see we have a new thread :) Hatfield!! I really enjoyed reading your poem, brought a smile to my face!

What a lovely sentiment CJ. Thank you for posting this. I am so sorry you and your DH aren't feeling well. Being sick around the holidays is no fun. Feel better soon plz!

Hatfield, your poem was wonderful! What a thoughtful and kind thing you did to include us! The SideBar is special in its own way isn't it! Thank you!
