I wish you all and all those you love a peaceful & happy Christmas time.
I feel so grateful to have "met" you. Sharing is the best way to become rich.
My special wishes of well being to all those who are ill or going through difficult times.

I'm now at my parents home; the tulips in my mom's garden are on their way to flourish... I'm afraid my cross country ski will stay in the car :( but I'm also happy because these mild temperatures make life so much more comfortable for my old parents.
Now I'll decorate the Christmas tree together with my dad and I'm afraid ;) my mom will continue to bake; there's always a recipe of cookies left that she has to try out.She is wonderful.
Ok, see you later, dear friends. ENJOY!!!!!

Do the tulips in your mothers garden look like this?

I see some of our dear friends are having some a bad storms. My prayers will be with each of you and the other forty five millions in this storms path,

Crazy weather in Georgia---still trying to get alarms just in cast. Some tornado warnings (not my area) but rain (still amazes me how it rains here and I live in Seattle) and major thunderstorm with lighting. I did give my sister's dog a small piece of benadryl for her nerves

Good Morning! Whew...did we have some bad storms roll in one after another all afternoon...we had hail, straight line winds, wicked lighting. Attaching a picture that was taken about 5 miles from us. Dmacky did you get the storms?
Good Mornin my friend,
Yes we had some really bad weather too, although it didn't actually hit here until about 6:45pm. All the same crazy weather you mentioned, and pouring/blowing rain!
Tornado watch until 9. It feels more like April or May here than December.
I hope you and Mr. Coffee (I love saying that) are starting to feel better! Wow, what a month y'all have had! Thank goodness 2015 is almost over, huh? 2016 has got to be better!

Hi zoey,
My daughter is a vet tech, and she said you can give dogs 1 milligram per pound of Benadryl every 8 hours. If the dog weighs 12 lbs., give them half of a pill (they are 25 mil. pills) or you can get Benadryl in liquid form. Just ask the Pharmacist for a syringe.

I'm confused, do you live in Georgia or Seattle?

To my SB friends, my Christmas wish for all of you is love, joy and peace... and I want to thank you all for your friendship, as it is one of the greatest gifts we can ever give to each other.
I LOVE you all! :heartbeat:

I seem to be very Grinchy this year... I am just bypassing it all together. I didn't ever get back to putting up the tree, and I'm certainly am not in the mood to join in any reindeer fun. I have politely declined all party/dinner invitations  Although I'm still waiting for
Gigi to :phone: and ask me to that delicious sounding dinner she has planned :giggle: After all, she said she MIGHT not cook next year so....

I gave Bubby benadryl when he was alive for storms...he would just shake all over. The benadryl calmed him down. Now, Squeakers...storms do not bother him, he could care less LOL...as long as he has something to chew on he's fine. In fact, he could care less about anything as long as he is chewing on something!! Silly puppy :) Getting him neutered in Jan. and hope that relieves some of his 'pent up' energy. He's 7 months old and he's ready for females!! Oh is he ever...LOL

You can call him Mr. Coffee all you want, my friend. Yes, I feel better than he does, but he's up and about. I sure hope 2016 starts out better than 2015 ended! what are your plans for Christmas? I'm almost ready, need go pick up the food for tomorrow since I ordered it all. Finished wrapping the little kids gifts and said heck with wrapping the big kids, just left them in the boxes :giggle:

Good idea, Dmacky. No doubt my parents will go to sleep relatively early, so I'll probably join you. No need to keep any food for me. We'll have raclette here and a dessert with cherries and tonka-flavoured cream. That'll be more than enough for me.
I'll bring a bottle of italian red wine, a Primitivo or a spanish Rioja.
We could make a big camp fire, what do you think??

I can't believe it's Christmas Eve already, I keep feeling like I've missed something, like maybe the whole year since last Christmas ? :giggle:

CoffeeJ, hope you and your DH are feeling better today. You don't have bronchitis do you? Take care and get well soon.

Hatfield, what an adorable Night before Christmas poem! Bravo and I are here now so you can add our names, LOL! :happydance:

Zoey , Dmacky, and CJ, I can't believe the bad weather that's going on this time of year, prayers for you and anyone else in those areas. Stay safe.

ATL, what lovely tulips! :happydance:

Susza, I didn't realize it was spring time where you are. And I'm curious, what is raclette and tonka-flavoured cream ?

Yes/No, I've never heard of an internet provider like WildBlue, what is that
Fair Access Policy all about ? Is that because it's a small company and they have limited service and so they have to spread it out? Idk, just  Whatever the case my thoughts are with you as I know how frustrating it must be. :seeya:

Merry Christmas, Sidebarian friends ! :christmastree: :santa: :sleigh:

Yes Susza ~ PLEASE join me! Can ya give us here in America a hint to exactly what raclette is ? And Tonka flavored ice cream? Sounds good, whatever it is. My motto has always been You cook and I'll come :giggle:

Bring any kind of wine you want my friend! And yes, I'll fire up the fire pit for us...even if it is 70 degrees today!

When we first moved to Texas we lived on a small farm, and inherited chickens when the former owner move away and left them, and here was this one crippled chicken that the cat would walk with it to the hen house for the night. My father joked that he was walking his dinner home each night waiting for it to go to chicken heaven.

That reminds me of when we first moved to California (1952) and lived on a chicken farm... I don't do chicken too much anymore! We also had a barn, but it was FULL of comic books! You can imagine - we were in there every single day - reading! LOL!

As per usual, I bought a boatload of firewood. What's Christmas with a fire raging in the fireplace? But this year it looks like Christmas day temps will be close to 70!!!!

We usually "watch" the Yule Log on Christmas Eve... :laughcry: I sure miss a fireplace here in this house!

Glad to hear you are both feeling a bit better coffeejunkie!

It's raining here - it's supposed to be "low" snow, but I don't think we're going to get any! :( :snowball:

Okay - off to read!

Wishing everyone here - my beloved Sidebar Friends - a very Merry Christmas and a better New Year! Thank you all for your thoughtful posts and prayers for my Huz! :luv:

Raclette is a Swiss dish of melted cheese that is sooooo good, kinda like fondue. When I was in Geneva, it was served with bread and potatoes. If and when I get back to Geneva, I have asked Susza to joint me for a raclette dinner in the Old Town part of Geneva. I hope the restaurant is still there.

Hope all of you have a Merry Christmas, full of joy and laughter. For those of you not feeling well, I hope you feel better soon. for those of you missing a family member for whatever reason, hold onto memories past. Xo

For those in storms' way, please stay safe. It is 75 degrees here in the Philadelphia area and windows are open. So glad my daughter got here when she did as so many flights were canceled out of Chicago. Safe travels for those going to visit friends or family. Xo

I have been so mixed up today (more so than normal) but I thought you lived in Delaware Zuri? Or do you live in Pennsylvania?

After you and Susza are done, you are more than welcome to stop by here, as long as you are wearing pajamas and are willing to lounge about reading books. We are going to have a stressless, relaxing afternoon/evening here!!! It is warm enough that we can comfortably sit around a campfire here, too.
