Play with the bull, and all that.

Hey, Hurry come back soon. Having a hey day of memories and such a great outlet from.......... You know! I love Fairport Convention music with Sandy Denny! So beautiful .,,,, check it out! :seeya:

I don't know where to post these, but I would like to dedicate the following two songs to Travis, his family, and all those who will miss him.

The first one is Nella Fantasia sung by a Norwegian singer, Jan Werner Danielsen, singing at a concert in Norway before he passed away. This is the best version of the beautiful hymn from the movie The Mission from 1986. Jan Werner died in 2006, only 30 years old. Note how long he is able to hold his last note beginning at approx. 4:11

(Singing begins at 0:025)

Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Pie Jesu" from Requiem has been steadily increasing in popularity since its premier in 1985, massively in part to the large successes of Angelis, a six-member group of preteens created by Simon Cowell in 2006. Andrew Lloyd Webber's Requiem was written to honor his father, who, sadly, passed away in 1982. It's his most personal composition, and the only fully completed classical work. In 1986, Requiem earned Lloyd Webber a Grammy Award for Best Classical Contemporary Composition. Unlike a traditional requiem mass, Lloyd Webber combined the texts of the Pie Jesu and Agnus Dei.

Thank you for sharing Jan. Those are amazing pieces. I had the soundtrack for the Mission and what beautiful haunting pieces in it. I remember this one well. And how poignant his age the same as travis. :(

Thanks for sharing. This really brings it home doesn't it?

I would not want to be your excuse for having to "inhale". Goodnight Sleuthers, sure feels good to enjoy good music and laugh for a change. Have a restful and peaceful weekend.
