I seem to recall that the tax lien was filed in Osceola County and listed JB's office address as Casey's address. Since his office is in that county and presumably that is where the payment was sent to on Casey's behalf since she was incarcerated at the time, that might be why it was filed there instead of Orange County.

IMO, whether Caylee was murdered or died as a result of a tragic accident, it still isn't "right" for ANYONE to profit off the situation. [Sorry Jeff Asthon & HLN, but that includes you too IMO]. Sadly, people have and will continue to profit from this case, just like they do/have others in the past.

How many newspapers, magazines and TV networks will profit from the horrific events involving Braden, Charles & their mother Susan Powell? A bunch and its downright sickening to me. :maddening:

I'm not trying to be rude or make enemies but some people get carried away with both the IRS & probation situations.

"If you are unable to pay anything because of a current financial hardship, we may temporarily suspend certain collection action, such as issuing a levy (explained below), until your financial condition improves. The IRS may, however, file a Notice of Federal Tax Lien (explained below) while your account is suspended."

I did payroll for my former employer. I recieved notice the IRS wanted to garnish one of our employees wages. Then the IRS determined he didn't make enough money to pay them (his wife was out of work for 8 months after an auto accident) so they recorded a tax lien, and he worked something out (began making payments to them) 6 months later.

She owes like $70K right? IMO they aren't interested in a few hundred bucks she might have got from mommy dearest (or anyone else) as a gift LOL

she will also be liable for interest fees...those add up......:twocents:

I haven't closely followed the Powell case, but from what I gather, it seems he probably killed the boys out of pure spite toward his in-laws, who were given custody.
 
Do we know if Casey saw her probation officer this month?

Well, didn't his oldest son admit recently that his mother had been in the trunk - and then she took a walk with dad, she never came back?

JMO but I feel this was more about him. It was only a matter of time - he was going to be charged - and he knew it. So he decided to commit suicide.

Once that was decided, I feel he also decided to kill the children - because if "I" can't have them, no one will.

JMO.
 
Hello everyone. Just buzzing in to express my shock.and sadness about thelatest in the Susan Powell case, and to say I hope KC has skipped probation and they will catch her smoking a joint or something.

I believe JA's book was about the trial of Casey Anthony and not about the life of Caylee. So if you look at it that way there have been many, many books written about trials of all kinds. We live in a free country so anyone can write a book, even one of the Anthony's. What JA does with the money is his business and for all we know he could have donated the money to a charity. We are all interested or we would not be seeking information as we are doing now. People just want to know the truth, want to be informed. Nothing wrong with paying someone for their time. It's how this country runs.

As for selling your child's pictures to pay for your defense for the murder of that child.....that's horrific. HLN cannot exist if it weren't for the fact that people, like us, want the news reported. And JB gave everyone plenty to talk about. Wouldn't be surprised if he eventually writes one himself......ghost written, of course. lol jmo
 
I just want to throw out there that you can receive gifts of money up to 12000$ without having to pay taxes on it. The person you get the money from has to pay taxes but you do not. If someone pays your bills you do not have to pay taxes on that money. So she could live pretty well if people are sending her small amounts of money/paying her bills for her. Also gifts are not taxed so her every day items also could be bought by someone else. If someone is helping her the IRS and her probation can't do anything unless its in large sums that can be proven. She can pay off things slowly and go about her business with no repercussions if she isn't earning the money from a job. people get gifts of money all the time and don't claim it because you don't have to.

In a world where everything is black or white I would agree with you, however there is a grey area (at least for me).

I believe FCA killed Caylee during a heinous, torturous act. My hair was sucked into a pool filter and when you can't breath it's sheer terror. I can't imagine the agony Caylee was in. I was only stuck a few seconds, Caylee was suffocated to death. Caylee never got to live, go to school, have goals, make friends...FCA made sure of that. She threw away Caylee's body like it was trash.

FCA, Cindy, and George sold pictures of Caylee. They've made hundreds of thousands of dollars off of the murder of their own grandchild. Lee is also listed on their charities so he can take a salary for himself. Mallory too. Caylee's family never wanted her to be found, they knew she was dead. They didn't care that their fraud was taking away from other missing children.

It's clear to me the As plan on living off of the death of Caylee and they sleep just fine at night. FCA sees herself as a celebrity now. I for one can't stomach the thought of the people who lied, perjured themselves, and tried to defame a truly caring man (TM) who came to their home to help them in order to set a baby killer free. Nor can I stand the thought of the As trying to blame innocent people of a crime they knew FCA committed. Who knows what sick/twisted book was going to come from them.

JB was openly searching for a million dollar interview directly after the verdict and a nice cushy TH job for himself. The defense team and the entire Anthony family lied to set a baby killer free. They spit on our justice system and on Caylee's grave. Someone else will end up paying the price for their lies in the future, perhaps Caylee's brother or sister will end up thrown away like trash too.

I think the final insult to Caylee's short life, which apparently meant nothing to her family, would be for the Anthonys to write a book singing the praises of her killer and bad mouthing the people who tirelessly searched for Caylee. JB with his smirk firmly planted on his face as a TH off the death of a child that he clearly did not want to be found. All the rest of assorted disgusting people who danced on Caylee's grave after the verdict then moved the party over to the bar were planning on cashing in in some fashion (money, notoriety, ego, whatever).

It's a given, a movie will be made. It's the culture we live in today. I would rather it be the truth then some lie filled rant from the Anthony family. Caylee deserves nothing less. Her life meant something more than trinkets, tattoos, easy money, or a picture on a Tshirt.

I realize I sound hypocritical and maybe I am, but I want the truth to be told. I don't care if JA makes money. I want all of Casey's lies 1,2,3,4,5...... to be exposed. I can't stomach the thought of the As rewriting history or making another cent off of Caylee's pain, misery, and ultimate death. Caylee's family failed her in life and in death.

There are clearly good guys and bad guys in this sick spectacle that was made off a baby's murder. I'm happy the good guys thwarted the bad. I hope to read a book from the other prosecutors some day as well as many of the witnesses (i.e AV). I would also like books written on CA and GA's lies. Shine the light on all the *advertiser censored* roaches and watch them run.

I may not agree with everything JA said in the book but I applaud him for writing the book. I hope it motivates people to care about the travesty of justice that happened in that court room.

Sounds to me like they were willing to overlook the supposed hacking and felon boyfriend if Casey paid her fees and fines. Or maybe her DT offered that if probation would overlook it. It's kind of disappointing that more wasn't done. When is this girl EVER going to have any REAL CONSEQUENCES?
