Humph! From my point of view, the faster FCA gets off probation, the quicker people will stop shielding her (from herself) and the faster she'll get into trouble again and we'll see some retribution.

ITA! She absolutely couldn't make it on her own. She has never been on her own. She will re-offend. I have no doubt.

Still not understanding why the probation person is not requiring her to work or at least put in 20 job apps per week.

I think they just want her the heck out of their state ASAP. JMO

May I just take a minute to say how much I love and respect all of my WS friends? We are here, for the most part, on a daily basis, in a quest to seek truth and justice. We are not here to fabricate or sugar coat the facts. We come here simply to look at what we know, discuss and learn. We also come here for friendship and comradery. It's nice to have a place to gather with logical, sensible people. Here! The first round is on me!

Sounds to me like they were willing to overlook the supposed hacking and felon boyfriend if Casey paid her fees and fines. Or maybe her DT offered that if probation would overlook it. It's kind of disappointing that more wasn't done. When is this girl EVER going to have any REAL CONSEQUENCES?

Probably she will have real consequences one day but I shudder at the thought of what she might do to cause that to happen. Look at all the atrocities Garrido got away with before he finally met his end of the hallway...not without the enormous suffering of others, however.

I just want to throw out there that you can receive gifts of money up to 12000$ without having to pay taxes on it. The person you get the money from has to pay taxes but you do not. If someone pays your bills you do not have to pay taxes on that money. So she could live pretty well if people are sending her small amounts of money/paying her bills for her. Also gifts are not taxed so her every day items also could be bought by someone else. If someone is helping her the IRS and her probation can't do anything unless its in large sums that can be proven. She can pay off things slowly and go about her business with no repercussions if she isn't earning the money from a job. people get gifts of money all the time and don't claim it because you don't have to.

Actually, the amount is $13,000 per year and the person giving you the money does NOT have to pay taxes on that money. IF they give you over the annual limit of $13,000 they will have to file a gift tax return, but most likely not owe any taxes on their gift. So, technically, she could receive $13K from CA, GA, LA, Mallory, CM, JB, DS, etc. EACH all in the same year (and the next year) and not owe a dime on any of it. :banghead:

ETA: from Pub. 950 @ irs.gov :

......No tax owed. Most gifts are not subject to the gift tax....

People will get tired of giving it money. Sooner or later it will have to fend for itself. It is only in its mid-20s; that's a lot of years left in its lifetime for others to pay its way. I think the novelty of it all will wear off and no one will be sending it money when that happens. And it is not out of the realm of possibility that it will one day become involved with someone who might change its fate forever.

Isn't there a WS radio show tonight? Anyone know where the link is or am I just making stuff up?

I agree & we can only hope that day comes sooner than later. :seeya:

Wellllllllll, hope she has lots of rich friends hanging around for the rest of her life, because in my neck of the woods not everybody has an extra $13,000 dollars laying round year after year after year.

Oh, wait, :waitasec: unless they are Officers of a Foundation, or something along those lines, and they have had a Big Donation to their charity in the past few months, then, they just might .....

Actually, I'm surprised Cindy hasn't made Casey an officer of the fraudation.

Well, it has only been 7 months since FCA has been out of jail, give her time, give her time ..... I can see it all now,

I can see Cindy saying: "FCA wants to "give back" to all who helped search for Caylee, etc., etc., etc., so she wants to join George and I in our quest to help (fill in the blank depending on which Foundation -- missing children, grandparents) ....." :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

Oh, I could actually see this happening at some point. Where there is a will, there is a way, Where there is $$$$, FCA will find a way to get it, and apparently Cindy will give it, she let FCA rob her blind in the past.

IMO, MOO, etc.

I do not care how much cash they send to their evil spawn...it is bad with money. It is also greedy and spoiled and prone to fistie tantrums. No matter how much cash those oh-so-dignified charity officers fork over, it will always want more. There is only so much they can steal from their non-profit before they get caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

I am a firm believer in *what goes around comes around* because I have seen it happen a number of times. Sometimes it takes awhile, but sometimes not.
