I honestly think she may be playing down how bad it really was.

Absolutely some because it did start as a consenting relationship, but obviously as we all know dating someone does not mean they have a free ticket to abuse you. The whip to me and her background even constitutes that particular incident as a hate crime.

Marilyn Manson's ex-assistant readies for court after claims she suffered from 'horrific' abuse | Daily Mail Online

"Marilyn Manson's former assistant is gearing up for court after claiming she suffered 'horrific' abuse at his hands, as the singer is attempting a third bid to throw out the case, claiming she has passed the statute of limitations because she 'understood' his behavior as wrong when he did it.

Ashley Walters, 37, is preparing for a court hearing scheduled for May after her alleged perpetrator launches a third attack on the case, attempting to have it thrown out.

Among other allegations, Walters claimed Manson forced her to stand for 12 hours and take pictures of him and made her take cocaine to stay awake; whipped her and others, telling them they could 'take it;' and threw hatchets when he was angry. She also said she watched him throw a prop skull at Woods so hard it left a welt, Rolling Stone reported."

IMO Unfortunately, often those who proclaim themselves "artists" in music, theatre, or other forms of artistic expression feel they have the right to questionable and cruel behavior. It is a brazen signal of something deeply wrong inside the soul of the individual. MM was a big creepy dude before he ever thought of shaving his eyebrows. Hopefully the outcome is positive for the victims.

"Musician Marilyn Manson is suing his former flame Evan Rachel Wood for defamation after she accused him of sexual abuse last year. In a complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Wednesday, Manson’s lawyers detail “a conspiracy” between friend and actress Ilma Gore and Wood that the musician claims was crafted to take him down."

I haven't been following the accusations/legal filings regarding MM. But, I'm curious... What's the deal with the FBI letter (re: MM investigation) used by Evan Rachel Wood in her child-custody case? Was it real?

"In his lawsuit, he said the two wrote up a fake FBI letter that claimed Wood was a key witness in an investigation.

The letter read, “To Whom It May Concern, please be advised that Ms. Evan Rachel Wood is a key witness in connection to a criminal investigation in Los Angeles, California involving an international and well-known public figure. The safety of Ms. Wood, her family, other victims, and of their families are the utmost concerns during this time.”

Manson said Wood forged the name of a real FBI agent on the letter and then distributed the letter to members of the media and other alleged victims."

"Controversial Los Angeles district attorney George Gascon has said his office needs more evidence before they can consider criminal charges against Marilyn Manson - despite the sheriffs' team working for 19 months to present a dossier.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement that on Monday their investigators handed the case over to Gascon.

The investigation involves sex assault and domestic violence allegations against the singer, dating from 2009 to 2011.

Yet despite almost two years of work, Gascon's office called the case it received 'partial.'"

"A judge dismissed her case without prejudice on Tuesday after she failed to provide proper legal representation within the allotted time frame.

She was previously being represented by Jay Ellwanger but the attorney withdrew his representation after Smithline allegedly sent him a series of bizarre text messages in which she expressed she no longer wanted him to be her attorney.

Smithline's case was dismissed without prejudice yesterday after the model fired her lawyer, and then failed to meet the deadline to obtain representation in court.

Smithline was one of 15 women - including actresses Evan Rachel Wood and Esme Bianco - who made allegations against Manson."

"Marilyn Manson has reached a settlement with Game of Thrones actress Esme Bianco, who accused the singer of sexual assault, abuse and human trafficking.

Bianco, 40, alleged that Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, had raped and abused her while they were dating in 2011, and had kept her locked in a bedroom in his West Hollywood apartment to keep her from fleeing.

She also claimed Manson took control of her life, not letting her eat or sleep without his permission, but Manson denied the allegations, calling them 'twisted tales that bear no resemblance to reality.'"

"Marilyn Manson is being sued for allegedly grooming and assaulting an underage girl multiple times in the 1990s, according to a new lawsuit.

The singer, 54, is listed as a defendant alongside his former labels Interscope and Nothing Records. The plaintiff submitted it anonymously and claims Manson repeatedly raped and sexually assaulted her from the age of 16, laughing at her and threatening to kill her family if she told anyone.

The lawsuit focuses on sex crimes that allegedly took place at the beginning of his career. Manson denies the accusations of sexual assault made against him by at least 15 other women from later in his career. "

"The new lawsuit includes counts of sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress against Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner.

It was filed in Nassau County Supreme Court on Long Island, with negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress being levered against the labels.

Court documents claim that Manson invited his alleged victim onto his tour bus in 1995 after a Dallas concert."

N.H. —
Singer Marilyn Manson will appear in court Aug. 7 after being accused of spitting at a videographer in 2019.

The trial is expected to last two days.

The simple assault charges potentially carry a $2,000 fine and less than one year of jail time.

A model who previously accused Marilyn Manson of sexual assault now says that Westworld actor Evan Rachel Wood pressured her into making the allegations.

In a declaration filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday, Ashley Morgan Smithline said the allegations were not true and that she eventually gave in to the pressure to make the accusations after Wood repeatedly told her that just because she couldn't remember "did not necessarily mean that it did not happen." Attorneys for Manson, whose legal name is Brian Hugh Warner, filed the declaration as part of the musician's defamation suit against Wood and Ashley Gore, also known as Illma Gore.

You mean Johnny Depp was right again!???
LOL

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Teresa A. Beaudet dismissed the part of the suit dealing with the disputed FBI letter, which Wood denies forging. Beaudet also tossed out a section that alleges Wood and Gore used a checklist found on an iPad for other women to use to make abuse claims about Manson.

The judge did not rule on the merits of the FBI letter, but found that the evidence that the defendants used it to recruit other women and harm Manson was hypothetical and thin. Evidence was also lacking that Wood and Gore created the checklist, Beaudet found. She said the probability of Manson prevailing on either part was low.

"Evan Rachel Wood has 'handed over primary custody of her son' to ex Jamie Bell due to fears over putting her child in danger after ex Marilyn Manson made alleged threats against him, reports The Blast.

According to legal documents obtained by the publication, the actress, 35, has agreed for son Jack,9, to 'primarily' live with Bell, 36, in Los Angeles."

"Marilyn Manson has hit back at Evan Rachel Wood's claims he threatened her young son, causing her to hand over primary custody of the child to ex Jamie Bell due to safety fears.

Sources also told the publication Wood is 'extremely afraid of putting her son in danger' - 17 months after she claimed in a court declaration Manson, 54, told her he would "expletive deleted" her then eight-year-old son - Manson denied the claim.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, a source close to Manson - real name Brian Warner - denied Wood's claims, berated Wood for 'making unproven claims publicly' and said the singer's own safety had been threatened after Wood's girlfriend Illma Gore allegedly used a forged FBI letter to recruit other women into accusing Manson of abuse. The part of the lawsuit dealing with the letter was later thrown out.

Manson has faced numerous claims of sexual abuse and human trafficking. More than a dozen women, including Wood, accuse him of abuse - accusations Manson has denied."
