^ Thank you for sharing this. It reminds me of our long-time UPS driver who retired in December, 2019. He had this route for 26 years - right from the beginning of our subdivision where DH and I have now lived for 28 years this weekend. We closed on our new home on Friday, February 19, 1993 and moved in on Monday, February 22 (President's Day) in a snowstorm. The UPS driver, Tim, was the nicest, sweetest guy. He always rang the doorbell to see if I was home before leaving packages on the front porch. If I was here, he would step inside and put the package/s in the foyer and chat for a few minutes. I miss him.
