I saw this tweet, not sure if it’s accurate though.

#ÚltimaHora | #RescateJulen It is necessary to make a new microvoladura, the fifth one, with which it is even more complicated to reach where it is presumed to be #Julen .

But unfortunately this is the truth and applies to everyone of us. And as I know for myself... there were already a few situations I was just lucky that my child didn't hurt himself badly. Especially that young children want to explore everything and sometimes it takes just a few seconds out of your sight and they get in big trouble. Once I forget to close the baby stair fence (I don't know how this is exactly called in English) and went straight into our kitchen. Than just a few seconds later I returned into our living room and my son (who couldn't walk the stairs down properly alone at the time) was "ready to go". Just a few seconds later he would have surely fallen down if I hadn't recognized the situation"incidentally".

I think what it really makes unfair to those who love but lost their children is that meanwhile there are many "parents" out there who abuse or even kill their babies without any remorse. Still thinking of Chris Watts who smothered his beautiful little girls to death... and he was not the only one. There might be millions of stories which will never be told but still happend or which will happen in the future. From this point of view life is just not fair.

Very true! :(

So does this mean it will be an extra two hours?
Yes, it will be an additional 2 hours, at least. I don't know how long it will take to determine where and how to set the charges. TeleTuitero is saying this is even more complicated, the area is very thin but made of the very hard volcanic rock and no way to break through, but they have to try to set it up in a way as to not dislodge the plug that is made of soft shale and clay, not injure Julen with debris and bad air and yet be able to break through that curtain of very hard volcanic rock.

I haven’t followed this horrible incident very thoroughly while little Casey was missing and obviously missed a lot. So these poor parents have already lost other children? My God!

Yes sadly! Their first born son died of a heart attack in 2017. And last year they tried again but had to abort late-term due to health issues. And now this :(

I hope their families, the community, and their own spiritual strength will help them through this terrible dark hour.

Are there no drills that can get through this stubborn rock?

Yes, I posted a long article about it this week.

Their 3 year old son Oliver had a heart problem and died in May 2017. Dropped dead while they were walking on the beach. Mom was still struggling to accept that. (Ex: Don't water the flowers at his grave, you will drown him.)

Then they decided Julen still needed a sibling. They got pregnant but lost that baby late in the pregnancy. I'm unclear on the details but the baby wasn't going to survive after birth.

Julen was their only remaining baby.

German n-tv reports a 5th explosive and 30 cm left.

They also interviewed an engineer who said some bad decisions were made (drill too short, hole not big enough), and he believes they could have reached the point they are now already a week ago.

Parents are being prepared for the worst and they don’t want them near the site at this point.

If that's true then I can't even... but for now I'll take the engineer's words with a grain of salt - he's not there so he may not know all the details of what the rescuers are doing/facing.

In any case news like that won't help Julen's parents right now so I'll just focus on finding the little guy.

Makes me angry right now, such an arrogant response. He's not there, he doesn't know the details. I've seen several tweets in this vein from Germans, thinking they know and can do everything better than others.

Sorry, had to rant. Ignore me.
