Altman takes a 10 minute break just after he was up for about an hour. Altman and pros go to a side bar!

He is going through the events, minute-by-minute. He is indicating that LE has made the events fit their time line. He is especially harping on Alyssa's (sp?) varied stories.
 
Weird happenings,

Around 1oam in the middle of closing DT asked for a 10 min recess for his throat. AS soon as the jury left he asked for an off the record side bar which lasted a couple minutes. That was 50 minutes ago, the judge and DT have been out of the room for about the last half hour, Pros still in room


Very weird

Edit to add: DT did say MB, the unnamed guest of Tyler's first name in closing, just a guess.
 
LOL! I'm almost caught up! Two things I recall from the first part were that when he described MB, he described him as OLDER, scruffy, homeless looking.

Poor Dharun, he was a kid who is heterosexual, hangs around with guys and girls, plays sports, yadda yadda and doesn't know anything about homosexuality.

What about his "homosexual friend"?

Thank you very much for the updates Kellter - I've been in mtg all morning, and just got online.

I see that Ravi is at the DT table but no DT.... and no Judge... but I see the PT. I wonder what's going on.

Okay, thanks. I have no sound so I didn't know what was happening. I don't think they have ever showed the court room clearing have they?

Not clear if Altman will contiinue. Judge could postpone this, or co-counsel could continue in his absence.

Prosecution and defense teams now meeting with the judge, in chambers. Not a good sign. I am told Ravi's lead counsel is "very sick."

I was only able to watch a little of the closing. Did he say MB's full name?
 
Altman did say MB first name, but not last name. Which he is not supposed to do... perhaps Kellter can relay the judge's and PT's reaction - I was unable to watch much this morning.

Defense source says Altman suffered stomach cramps--not believed to be a flu-like illness. Unrelated to his illness from past several days.

Defense source now tells me Ravi lead counsel, Steve Altman will resume his summation at 1PM. "The show will go on," says my source.
 
thank you all for the updates! I'm at work and forgot to DVR InSession. Dang! :( I did tape the HLN news and the other show on HLN with Vinnie.

Wow - so I guess the lead defense attorney (not my favorite guy) got very sick? does anyone think he's saying that because he inadvertently gave out MB's first name? I'm not accusing him - just asking. :D

It happened twice, first time Altman smiled and quickly said "MB" second time he didn't even acknowledge it. Neither the judge or Pros reacted in any way.
 
I hope Altman didn't pull a Jose Baez and just use up time so the day ends with his closing, not having enough time for the state to start theirs. Also ALtman sure does hate Lokesh.
 
I'm glad that Mr Altman feels better and was able to continue.

Altman is going over the time line for this case, and its a bit hard for me to follow him. My short summary so far: its everybody elses fault except Ravi.

From Mr Altman earlier today:
"Who is that guy, my ipad in there and if its missing when I get back Tyler's gonna pay"
"Who is this guy, why is he in my room and why am I shut out"
"Ravi is an 18 years old, on his own for the 1st time in his life"

"Ravi only set up the ichat the first time to check on his valuables. The second time was just a joke, and that Ravi halted it by putting his computer to hibernation (asleep)."
