Is it possible to view the photograph of the chap on the horse on a larger scale ? It's really small - just wanting to see if it looks like someone who can ride or someone on a trekking style holiday .

If you're using a Smartphone, you could zoom in on the photo. Place two fingers on the photo and then slowly move them apart to enlarge the photo.

Looks amateur trekking to me but he is riding a Camargue horse with the distinctive riding gear they have, no idea if that requires a different technique.

The man riding the horse looks MENA, maybe North African? But ofc the picture could just be oversaturated or something. I know some Spanish, southern French, or southern Italian people can look like that as well.\

The population of "Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer" is quite small. I wonder if she has some relation/link to this small commune? Maybe someone there knew her? Maybe she checked in somewhere in Camargue?

The issue is horse riding is extremely common there and one of the main tourist attractions. Plenty of horseback riding services if you google. The person in the picture could have been a tourist as well.

Hard to tell but he looks European, French or Spanish, just tanned. Not particularily MENA. Actually my German father looks similar, too. Impossible to tell from the photo.
