Hopefully, we will get some good and updated information of their progress tomorrow. Starts at 9:30, but I don't think the last one was live feed. IIRC we had to wait for the press.

Will any of the money that has been raised by Kyron's parents be contributed to this cause, or are those funds strictly for searches?

When I was on the commissioner's site, it showed you could watch the board meetings live with Real Player. They also had the previous meetings archived. I didn't feel like downloading and installing Real Player, but the July 27 meeting is on there if anyone is interested.

They're doing public comment right now. Three people will speak for 3 minutes each. This part isn't about Kyron.

Sheriff Staton and Lt Walls are up next. They'll have 10 minutes to present.

PUBLIC COMMENT - 9:30 am
Opportunity for Public Comment on non-agenda matters. Testimony limited to three minutes per person unless otherwise designated by the presiding officer. This is a time for the Board to hear public testimony, not for Board deliberation. Fill out a yellow speaker form available at the back of the Boardroom and give it to the Board Clerk. Unless otherwise recognized by the presiding officer, testimony is taken in the order the forms are submitted.

Staton says: As you are aware, we have gone to a task force configuration

What's happening w/task force? commissioner asks.

Staton says:

Structuring task force.

3 investigators from MCSO and 1 sergeant

FBI 1

PPB 1 detective

Wash county 1 individual

Clackamas county 1 individual

OSP 1 individual

Staton: want to assure everybody in audience. don't think there's any question about where we're at. not wasting time or throwing money away. MCSO is taking appropriate steps.

Voting. all in favorite. Aye. Approved.

Task force: At current working with the DA, investigators, and board for creation. MCSO will provide 3 invest., 1 sargeant, the FBI is still going to be actively involved, 1 detect. from Portland Police, Wash county 1 individual, Clackamas county 1 individual, OSP 1 individual.

Board members individually thanking the sheriff for being thorough and efficient on such a hard case.

From Staton: People want to know if sheriff is wasting time or throwing money away? Board has followed and knows what is transpiring.

**crappy notes, sorry**

I don't know how long it takes them to put it in the archive, but I'll keep checking, and review what he said about the task force configuration.

I was thrilled that some jurisdictions have offered a person!
