I don't think I have used this term here, but since this case I have started to think of prostitution as socioeconomic rape. If there was more opportunity these girls most likely would have never resorted to the option.
I think it really depends on the individual and the circumstances. Did he/ she make the choice informed and willingly with a clear sober mind or were they forced/ influenced oor coerced by drugs or by another persons selfish desire to make money using the body of another.
Having said that...I agree with your assessment in alot of cases. I think the victims of these crimes were indeed, "Socioeconomically raped" or at the least taken advantage of.
