2,000 serial killers in US, says man who caught Golden State Killer

I thought the estimate seemed low, not based on anything but my own perspective.

There were at least 5 that I know of operating in Los Angeles in the late '70's when I was there: William Richard Bradford (whom I had contact with), The Hillside Stranglers- Kenneth Bianchi and Angelo Buono, Charles Rathbun, and Rodney Alcala. William Richard Bradford and Charles Rathbun both used photography as a lure. Bradford offered me to model for him. I didn't, which is why I'm probably still alive.

I have a cousin who back in 2007, was one of those victims in NY. I have an ex whose one BFF was also in 2012 one of them as well.

These are indeed it is with a mission-based motive for serial murders when this happens sadly. Thinking they are cleaning up society (god) or punishing society (the devil) for why they do what they do.

This along with long haul truck drivers, it's easy for some to still keep active in this day and age when it's people who are under the radar and easily targeted.

The new trend I've been seeing is dating apps/online dating. Wouldn't be surprised if any are in town for a "night" and use a dating app to meet a vulnerable lonely person seeking desperately to be loved by someone, that's all a serial murderer needs on a dating app to lure someone like that into their charm, manipulative web of death.
