Oh dear me - <modsnip>...! Trying to back out now? Saying that he'd be very surprised if the screams came from the BC house?

And how can his phone - which I'm pretty sure was an iPhone - be consistently 6 minutes fast? They time-sync to the network. Mine is the most accurate "watch" that I own!

A lot of his evidence is ringing alarm bells in my head - I can't really accuse him of committing perjury. But I have to wonder why he testified what he did?

I've been curious as to his role from the beginning - and now his testimony has just made me much more curious...

My difficulty with this is still how do you explain him mentioning the scream during that phone call if it didn't really happen? No one knew then that Allison would be killed that night.

These friends of GBC have a chance of getting their money back if he is found not guilty, so $90,000 each for appearing for the defense.

Ah great point! Still, where are their ethics? Get my money back and let a man who killed his wife walk free...

A very good point, Cattail. But we only have his word that he heard screams, and the word of Sue Heath that he said he heard screams. She didn't hear them over the phone.

All I'm suggesting is that there MAY be something else going on in the background in terms of Dr Flegg and his testimony.

And of course, when you say "No one knew then that Allison would be killed that night" - somebody did...

It must be nice to be in a position to loan someone $90000 and not really care when it is paid back. And to not remember what the interest rate was and not to bother to get the agreement signed.
Meanwhile others are worrying about paying their electricity bills. I think GBC was seeing his close friends living this life and wishing he was part of it.

And blaming it all on Allison

i thought it was expertly established without a doubt in week one of the trial that allison didnt die where she was found, so if she "suicided" who moved her dead body to kholo creek? so tired of hearing about her depression and longing for a son, wasnt that all years ago? at the time of her death she was making plans for herself and looking forward, she had three beautiful daughters, those close to her, even gbc, said she wasnt depressed or suicidal at that time, so is suicide all defence have? hoping the jury can see through all this

Marly can we please borrow some money for lunch? We will repay you. :blushing:

Got a spare $90,000 floating around for a meat pie? :please:

No? :banghead:

OK I'll try Kimster :D

Oh Doc I've got some money for those happy pills now :)

You know the saying with affairs, the spouse is always the last to know? A family member went through this not so long ago and she said she could tell other people knew by the way they spoke to her and she felt pitied and absolutely hated it.

There is a very select crew of folks who get the 'Alison wanted a son' thing... and each and every one of them gets this statement from Gerard.. not a single soul has Alison claiming this to anyone, at anytime.. . .. .

1:21pm: MP Bruce Flegg stopped to speak to media gathered outside the court this morning, saying he was called to give evidence a prosecution witness.

"We have a fabulous community out in Brookfield. Tragically one of our members is deceased, one is on trial and the lives of many others have been changed forever," he said.

"Whilst our justice system might get criticism at times it is all we have - justice and fairness in our community - so we each have a responsibility to come forward and support the police and the courts if that need arises.

"That's what I've done on this occasion and that's all I've got to say. Thank you.

And Olivia certainly wasn't worried about her state of mental health!

"I spoke to her the night before she disappeared on Thursday night and she seemed fine," she said.
"I saw her last week and she seemed normal, delightful - her normal, easygoing, beautiful-natured, thoughtful, kind-hearted self."
