She was definitely at Target. There are at least 2 accounts we can see by video that she used a phone while she was there. If both occurrences show on the pings, then we know it's her usual account she was on.

I hope I'm not confusing anyone. The Scorpio in me is obsessing again and this blackjack is the target. :bang:

If there is proof of this phone, it could shed some light on what she was doing during business hours (when she was 'working') and who could possibly have been keeping Caylee during the nights the week prior to her alleged demise by June 16th.

Business on one phone vs. friends and family on the other.

This girl has pretended to be working for over 2 years and had no verifiable employment. She got up every morning and 'left for work' at a job she didn't have.

That is beyond mental.

Blackjack is also a slang street name for a drug called ecstasy that is used in clubs and rave parties all over the country. There is a big market for this drug in her age group. I think KC and her brother have been dealing in it for some time and she was telling him where she hid their stash. Didn't she say something like "bottom left" part of town when she was asked a question about where she bought it? I think she was giving him directions in a way only he would understand.

I thought the same thing, I thought she was talking in code. When she said "the bottom left part of town", she was referring to "southwest" or she had been looking at a map and it was the "bottom left" of the map-southwest, maybe. :waitasec:

I'm assuming LE has looked at the "calls received" records from AL and other interested parties....like the previous poster said, you can tell when calls are coming in from another line and they could isolate calls that came in during the time period KC called someone to see what # she was calling from? Or is it more difficult than that...heck, I had never heard of a sim card until this case....:crazy:

None of Casey's friends or family have reported any phone number for Casey, other than than the one we know.

Ok, bluntly here. If Casey was working as an escort or phone sex operator, she wouldn't dare mix up the 2 numbers between her family and friends.

I've been thinking about when Lee told Casey initially "the truth couldn't hurt" - or something like that. It's like he was trying to let her know it would be OK to let them know something - even if it would get her in trouble somehow.

For example - if you were dealing drugs or something - and you were afraid to tell LE even though it might help them find clues.

I thought he was doing a good thing really - encouraging her to let loose with any secrets she might have - that it would be OK - but now - he's doing just the same thing he was telling Casey not to do.

I don't get it.

Just had a quick little thought...could he be afraid that Casey would somehow try to implicate him? She will throw anyone she can under the bus IMO.

About this unfound Blackjack phone and a phone number that is saved in Casey’s phone list. Phone number 800-9x7-5096 referred to as ‘Universal’ on Casey cell phone dump.
I wasn’t sure where to post this. It doesn’t fit the cell phone ping thread so…..

I Googled this number instead of doing a reverse lookup. This number is listed for AT&T accounting department and as far as I can tell when people call this number back they get a legitimate business. My question is why did Casey have this number listed in her phone as 'Universal'? Why was it not listed as AT&T if she had been calling them about her late cell phone bills?
I am not certain but this looks to me like this number is or was being used in some type of scam. Bill fraud, a way to get credit card info, a way to find out if a user has cell phone minuets that can be snatched by some one. Some type of boilerplate operation is my guess. It also might have something to do with someone working on the inside of AT&T accounting department hooking Casey up with a way to 'purchase' SIM cards.

One more site that seems to me says someone is using this number through spoofing software and that is why although the number may be legit in its self and some calls are from the phone company but others are not and it is being used a scamming business

Now taking this information and combing it with this portion of the jailhouse call between Casey and Lee A.

“LEE: So this Black Jack where did you, you said that you reported it missing, give me the information so I can find this phone.
CASEY: I had it (TALKING TO SOMEONE OFF THE PHONE : yes sir, is he ok. Can you ask him to stay there couple of minutes, because we only have…ok thank you). Um Jose’s actually here. Um. (Expletive), ok the last time I know I had it for certain I was up at Universal.
LEE: For work, or for otherwise?
CASEY: I was in through the park talking to just a couple of mutual friends of….
LEE: So you were up there for fun or whatever?
CASEY: It wasn’t necessarily fun, but yes not through work at that moment…
LEE: I’ve got you, ok, I understand.
CASEY: I know I had it at Jay Blanchard Park, I don’t remember where the very last place is I had it.
LEE: Where did you get this phone from? Like how was it provided to you?
CASEY: Through the AT&T Store, god, what road? It’s the bottom left side of town kind of near where the mall and stuff is.”

In through the park = Universal =Casey fake job = an 800 number that is on Casey’s phone that is showing as a number for AT&T. Was a ‘blackjack’ SIM card ‘purchased’ through an inside person at the AT&T cell phone store bottom left down by the mall? I am just trying to make some sense of this.

Combine this with an 800-phone number that has reported connections of people using this number to dupe them into giving out person information and then selling that information.

Was this number stored in her phone to use through a software program to make spoofing calls? Was ‘blackjack’ a password that got ‘her in through Universal’ and she had a separate SIM card that she used for making these types of calls that was hooked to someone else’s billing account. Then she would just put her personal SIM card back in the same phone and there is no trace of any illegal activity on her phone. Unless LE could come up with what other person’s account she was using there is no way to find additional records. Blackjack could also mean the drug, she did mention ‘getting a blackjack’ in one of her Myspace, Facebook or a text message but she may have been referring to a drug at the time and not a phone and we all just accepted that as proof that she did at one time have 2 phones. The idea of 2 SIM cards, not 2 phones could work for drug dealing, escort work, credit fraud, anything for that matter.
A separate SIM card for all illegal type calls. As long as the SIM card was compatible to her Nokia phone that SIM card will now direct all billing and record of calls made at the time to another account. Her personal account would not show any of those calls at all.

Casey has a laptop, wireless or not and she accesses software, downloads spoofing onto her computer. Now Casey uses a USB cable to connect her cell phone to the laptop and pulls the info onto the SIM card [the one that is not connected to anything that has her name on it] to make any phone calls. The number that she now makes with this phone, while using that SIM card shows as coming from whatever number she has programmed into it. Hence it may appear as Casey is calling from AT&T. The 800 number shows up on the caller ID of the persons phone that she is calling. If the ‘target’ person decides to call back the number he/she gets a legitimate business and cannot trace the call to the scammer who is using it. Casey’s own phone records do not reflect these calls since Casey is using a SIM card that is in someone else’s name.

Could this same type of software be used to access an answering service? Casey uses the ‘other SIM’ to check voicemail or to make arrangements to pick up drugs, meet men for paid sex, give SS# or credit cards numbers to a buyer etc.

I am not an IT person. If my understanding of this is incorrect please feel free to let me know why. I am just throwing this out there.

This number is one that Casey called on 7/14. [I did not check to see if it was called on previous days.] 772-5x1-1500 lists as a file download access number.
If you google this number you get a website for Compact RINEX format down load which to the best of my ability it is some type of software that compresses or un-compresses data needed to use with GPS tracking and lets you move data from computer to phones. This one is way over my head. So WTH could this be all about?
