Just in from the Daily Mail

An anonymous woman wrote she was tired of being married with kids on the social media platform Whisper, to which Harris replied just ten minutes before he last saw his son: 'I love my son and all, but we both need escapes.'

According to CNN's Philip Holloway, Harris sent pictures of his anatomy while he was attending a baseball game with his son.

Much more at site.

He visited prostitutes in the weeks before Cooper's death.

The jury will not hear evidence that Harris had two life insurance policies on Cooper, totally $27,000.

Harris' trial is now scheduled to begin on April 11.

I would like to know why the life insurance policies don't come into play. $27,000 is a lot of money especially for a child. Could it be that is standard with Home Depot, and that is why it is not being allowed? But if that was true, there would only be one policy. Why were there two?

I think the judge felt that there was not sufficient evidence that Harris had severe enough financial issues to warrant the murder being attributed to profit as motive. Especially since the two policies did not total a big windfall type amount.

I think one was offered through his work, a sort of standard benefit type deal, the second may have been a small "Gerber Life" type policy that is commonly marketed to new parents and grandparents.

And here I thought I'd missed the whole trial!

Marking my calendar and see you all April 11, unless there is another hearing date?

TIA!

I admit to being ambivalent as to whether he intentionally left Cooper in the car to die.

But just today I heard a detail that I had not heard before, in a totally unrelated podcast of all things. If this is true, it does sway me in the direction of intentionally doing it. Prior to hearing this detail, I had been open to the idea that he is a jerk who was distracted by the sexting.

In this podcast - http://swordandscale.com/sword-and-scale-episode-24/ - starting about the 39:00 mark, someone says that the surveillance video at Chick Fil A, the dad actually carried Cooper in his car seat into the restaurant and ate breakfast with him. (The first 39 minutes of this podcast are not about this case BTW)

I knew he had gone to Chick Fil A, but for some reason, I thought he had gone through the drive-through or something.

Can anyone confirm if he actually did go into the restaurant with him? In the podcast, I think he says the dad carried Cooper into the restaurant in his car seat. I can't seem to rewind the podcast, so not sure about that. Anyone know?

I don't know where I read that now but yes, I did read that at the first of the case. It convinced me he didn't get distracted and forget about his son. It wasn't far from where he worked. There is no way he could have forgotten about him in that short of time.

Iirc, LE has the video footage of when he took him into Chic Fil A and left. In fact I think some of the workers in there said he was very sweet to his son It was probably all for show.:(

IMO

Cooper is described on the video at the restaurant as being awake and alert

However, police issued a new arrest warrant on Wednesday that offered more details into the events surrounding the boy's death. In it, police said that Harris and his son had breakfast at a Chick-fil-A on Cumberland Boulevard on the morning of the incident. The warrant states Harris placed his son into rear-facing car seat a little after 9 a.m.

Csi vegas did a episode on this case but switched it up. The mom gave the baby medicine to put him asleep and all.

But they didn't add the parts of how the family was researching ways of living a kid free life while trying to have dates from the Internet. Jmo

Ok so it appears that he did indeed take him in.

I will say that personally I am much more swayed by evidence of taking the child out of the car, eating breakfast in the restaurant with him, putting him back into the car seat, and then driving a short distance to his work than I am by all the sexting stuff.

What makes you think it was based on this case? The child in the CSI episode was killed in a completely different manner than Cooper.

Agree. The mother thought the baby had a birth disease as her previous child did in that episode.

But before we found that part out; The plot was still similar to this case somewhat. Jmo. But I just noticed that the episode was made before this case. So you are right.

Ross Harris new child exploitation charges

http://www.fox5atlanta.com/news/100627273-story

“This case will not be tried by the State in the media. The recent indictment is based on advances in electronic forensic analysis in conjunction with recent interviews of newly discovered victims. Had the State delayed charging any further, prosecution of some of the charges would have barred by the statute of limitations.”

Ha! I'm so glad he's getting nailed on these charges. And I think we should set up a funding page for PTSD counseling for the officers that have had to read his disgusting messages and look at pictures of his junk to get these charges brought!!! (The counseling part was a joke!)

BBM Since the statute of limitations was almost up, this will show that trolling for minors wasn't a recent development for Harris. It had been going on for at least two years.

I wish they would wait until June! Imagine jurors walking out of court and plopping down in their HOT cars!!! Slam dunk.

Don't worry, gngr, it was in the low 80s here today. No one is going to be forgetting what a hot climate we live in!

True! It was! (Our A/C went kaput! Add in my hot flashes and I was sweating)

I hope they point out it was also the hottest day of the year to date in 2014! The Cumberland Mall area was my stomping ground decades ago! I've lived in metro Atlanta as long as I can remember. My in-laws live about a mile and my dad is about 3 miles away from where they were living when it happened. 😞 Bless his little heart!
