I'm going to look on the bright side: This puts JonBenet back in the news. I was reading comments on one website, and there are many people who still think John is guilty. Also, he's receiving criticism for saying he dislikes Toddlers and Tiaras because many feel, "well it's too late now". Also, it will bring more members and guests to the forum.

JonBenet Ramsey's Father Regrets Letting Her in Pageants , Says 'Toddlers and Tiaras' Is Bizarre

"Ramsey recalled. “Patsy’s mother later told me that a strange man approached the car during the parade and it made her uncomfortable. I think about these things now and it makes me cringe. We were so naïve."

...

There were tantalizing clues around the house — a footprint, a broken window, some DNA evidence – all sparking wall-to-wall tabloid coverage of the case. When asked if he thinks JonBenet’s killer could still be at large, Ramsey said, “I believe he is.”
“He’s either alive, dead or in prison, and one of those three,” he said."

IDI returns to the random stranger IDI.

"Within hours, the Boulder police began treating the Ramseys, especially John, as suspects. Ramsey said he got a tip from a caller inside the Boulder police department, telling him they were targeting him and he should get a lawyer."

I watched John Ramsey on GMA this morning. JR was asked "So you believe the killer of JonBenet is still out there?" To which he responded "Oh absolutely. He is either dead, alive or in prison." To borrow one of JR's favorite words.....I find his answer extremely "BIZARRE"! It doesn't take a genius to know that if you are dead then you are not alive! And if you are in prison then you must be alive. Seriously, is it just me or does JR always answer questions in an odd way? Also, please someone correct me if I am wrong, but if the killer is in prison then why hasn't there been a DNA match if they take DNA samples of all prisoners?

I'm sorry if I am rambling on.....I just get so upset when I see JR receiving any publicity. I will not purchase his book and put any $ in his pocket. I find it extremely troubling that he wrote another book all these years later and will yet again profit on the death of JonBenet. To think that another generation of people (that were too young to remember the murder of JBR) will be reading this new book and possibly believe the content. I guess this is JR's attempt at trying to rewrite history before he dies, so that his new wife & children can live a peaceful life after he is gone.

We, here at WS, must continue to keep the truth alive.

Handy little tip for people to be aware of: those pictures on the web site, the "never before seen" ones? That is how John Ramsey made money off this interview. It is a standard practice for a news outlet to refuse to pay for the actual interview. They will, however, be more than happy to pay for the use of photos and video provided by the person being interviewed, and this is not considered an ethical problem because John is merely benefiting from the copyright he holds on the pictures.

The discovery of DNA from an "unidentified male" in three places on JonBenet's long johns allowed investigators to rule out the possibility that a single sample of this DNA found earlier belonged to a worker at a clothing factory (this was the original police theory). They also concluded that this stranger—not any of the people in the Ramseys’ circle, who were previously tested—was the murderer.
Yet Ramsey’s suspicions persist. Asked directly if he thinks this acquaintance killed JonBenet, Ramsey says, "Oh, I don't think so, But then he proceeds to poke holes in the man’s alibi and describe how the Boulder police botched the investigation from the beginning. Moreover, Pam and Michael Archuleta, who remained close to the Ramseys and are also speaking publicly for the first time, tick off circumstantial evidence that they believe points to this man. Asked about the new samples of “stranger” DNA, Michael, who was the pilot of John Ramsey’s King Air jet, adds, “perhaps this person's DNA was not found because he hired someone to do it for him."
As both a public service and a personal crusade, Ramsey now spends much of his time promoting state laws that mandate the lifting of a DNA sample from anyone accused of a felony, which would substantially expand the national DNA registry. (His website is DNAFINGERPRINTLAW.COM.)

“Patsy’s mother later told me that a strange man approached the car during the parade and it made her uncomfortable."

well then,Ramsey team,I am sure there must be a video somewhere with that parade, did you ever check?did you identify that man (I am sure it can't be that hard),did you ever make sure the cops check that man out?me thinks....not....but maybe I am wrong, who knows.....

"While no one would blame him for being angry or bitter, ”I was for a time,” Ramsey said. “But you can’t stay there. It’s damaging to you as a person.”

yes, even if I don't agree I could understand that...but that's not the point here.....it's how damn soon it happened not that it happened duh, they were ready to forgive and move on 5 days after the murder....that's the problem...

Right!
I think it would be nice of John Ramsey if he did a guest spot on Websleuth Radio to promote that new book of his. :fireworks:

jmo

That would be a sure signal of the end of days :what:

The "strange man approached the float" story has never had an ounce of credibility, if only because of the circumstances. Let us see...JonBenet is riding on the back of a float. Which is a convertible car. Which is driven by an ADULT, with an ADULT (Pam Archuleta) sitting beside JonBenet. Surrounded by thousands and thousands of parade-goers as witnesses, and specifically surrounded by parade escorts who are crowded in front and back of every float. Now, if this "strange man" story was ever true, there are many questions to ask John about this as follow-up. "Strange" man? Strange to who? To Nedra? Like Nedra was supposed to recognize every single one of the thousands of people attending the parade, such that she would know when one of them was *un*recognizable to her? How did Nedra know that this man unrecognized to her was not approaching Pam Archuleta, and was known to her? Why would John Ramsey find credible the concept of a strange man approaching JonBenet in front of thousands of witnesses who would then in an instant be able to identify this man should something happen to JonBenet? What does "approach" even mean when the man is on foot and the child is being driven in a constantly-moving car with people also constantly surrounding it? Are we supposed to think this guy was bumping into people one after another on his way to JonBenet's ever-moving side?

John was also criticized for immediately getting a lawyer. "I got a call from someone in the law enforcement system on the second day. They told me I better do it, because the police were already considering me the prime suspect."

How disturbing. Why does he feel has to do this now? I really wish he would just go away. Unbelievable that he's peddling a book and bringing up bad feelings all over again about this case. When I saw the article on Yahoo, I just knew I had to come here. So outrageous. He should just live his life and stop making himself newsworthy. JonBenet deserves so much better than this...

"John says. "Then, later, they took 200 DNA samples and one by one they purportedly eliminated our friends and acquaintances so they could investigate the only people they really thought had done it—us. And our DNA wasn't even found on our child's body!"

At this point in time, with 200 dna samples, PBD are able to eliminate as suspects both the individual donors and their relatives, through statistical analysis.

Well....As he has said...he's unemployable. IDK..maybe he thinks this book will open up doors for him. It's as if he was more grief stricken losing his wealth than his daughter. I hope his tv appearances come back to haunt him very soon. Maybe those who were accused by the Ramsey's will be reminded once again how arrogant John is and someone will step up and spill the beans and say "enough is enough" and maybe John will land in :jail:

If you're unemployed for 15 years, spend millions of dollars on your team, yet still own a private jet, aren't homeless, send your son to college out-of-state, you're doing pretty well for yourself.
