I dont know if it’s notorious but Spartanburg County SC (spartanburgsherrif.org) has a cold case involving a lady, Anna Huckeba and male, Randy Cochran. They were at an intersection in a car murdered. LE thinks they were stopped and talking to somebody they knew.

Looks like it’s been at least partially solved.

Thanks for the link. I’ve followed that up and they dropped the charges on her. That case just seems like one that a lot of people would know something so hopefully somebody will spill it.

This is sort of expanding my area, but: Brian Shaffer. That case has been studied to death by LE and by websleuthers across the Net, and no one can come up with any realistic idea of what's happened. It'll be 20 years in 2026 and I'd love if at least something could be found by then.

Disappearance of Robert Hoaglund

50 year old Robert Hoagland went missing in July 2013 from Newtown, CT where he lived with his wife and one of their three adult sons, Max. The latter had been struggling with drug addiction, and the Hoaglands were by all accounts dedicated to helping with his recovery. Robert was a trained chef, but was working as a real estate appraiser and in a friend's law office at the time of his disappearance; in part to be more available for his son.

Robert was recorded by security cameras at a gas station in town the morning of his disappearance. He bought gas for his wife's car and a map, then returned home to eat breakfast and hang out at home with Max.

His wife Lori, a teacher, would be returning from a trip to Turkey the next day, and she and Mr. Hoagland had made plans for him to pick her up at the airport. He never arrived. After staying overnight with a family member near the airport, Mrs. Hoagland arrived home the next day to find her vehicle, her husband and her son all missing. The car and Max soon turned up: he'd taken it to buy drugs and had been arrested for trespassing in the process. However, even though he would have been the last person to see his father, Max had no idea where he was ... and no one has been able to figure it out since then, either.
He was living in Rock Hill, NY as Richard King. His body was discovered December 5, 2022. Information from his Wikipedia page.

All good questions. It was reported he was working as a private contractor doing real estate appraisals as Richard King. I wonder how he got his checks cashed or if he was paid in cash? As a self employed individual state and federal income taxes and social security were his own responsibility. Most likely he just never filed taxes. He lived with a single male for all but the first 6 months of his disappearance. He was never required to provide ID or have a background check. He was supposed to have volunteered at the local homeless shelter. Perhaps he lived there before his room rental? He would cook Thanksgiving dinners for the shelter. Cooked Sunday dinners for his roommate. Paul Simon said there were 50 ways to leave your lover. Just disappear Rob. Only a hundred miles from his home.

This happened just blocks from my home. We were out of town on vacation when it happened, and I remember getting texts from my neighbors about it. The police chief at the time of the murders retired in 2016 and said it was one of his biggest regrets that this case had not been solved in his time with the force.

Professor Peter D’Agostino was walking in broad daylight on a summer day, heading home after getting off the El (Chicago's subway system) a few blocks away. He was found dying on a neighbor's front yard from severe blunt force head trauma shortly after he was attacked. A sketch was made of a possible suspect, but no one was every publicly announced as being identified as a person of interest.

I live in Columbus and have been obsessed with this case since News broke about his disappearance. I have listened to True Crime Garage podcast about it, and I think of the guys on the podcast had a billboard up about 2.5 years ago. I even belong to an instagram group and we talk about different theories but nothing fits. It’s like Brian vanished.

This exactly. It's like he completely poofed into thin air. I'd love to be able to talk to Clint. I don't necessarily think he has guilty knowledge, but I do think he has at least some knowledge that could help.

I don't think that Clint necessarily had anything to do with it either. But i'd love to have a conversation with him too. I feel like the timeline with Clint and that girl-- her last name was Reed, (cant remember her first name), was pretty documented and caught on camera. Even if I remember the Ugly Tuna Promenade it has plenty of cameras and if he did come down any service entry in the back down the alley, he was pretty intoxicated based on other people that saw him so he could not have navigated through the construction site. I wondered when they tore the Ugly Tuna down if they were going to find him, but nothing. So vanisheddddd......I do often wonder if he went into a witness protection or something. Because he really did disappear without any traces. But then what would he have witnessed that caused him to HAVE to disappear, and would he have done that to his family after losing his mom just a year or so prior, I dont think so but who knows. This case just has a lot of questions and no answers, just lots and lots of theories.
