the more i read and think about this case, the more I feel like there is so much more evidence regarding the Moorers psychotic behavior, TM abuse and harassment towards Heather, against each other, certainly eye witnesses to these behaviors, communications, that even circumstantially a strong case will be built, the biggest mystery is what did they do with Heather- the river would be most convenient, then there are many places to hide a body in the area, just look at all the missing cases and the recent Murrells Inlet fellow who evidently put AP in the water, at least they had been looking for her or parts of her there.

I had second cousin- female- who killed a man in NC with a knife, brought his body back in the car trunk to SC where she was raised and buried him in a old graveyard, not used in many, many years. Close to the landing where they were looking for AP. Apparently when in town to hide the body, she stopped by my friends from whom she rented a storage building, and paid her bill- may have had the body in there for a while, who knows. It was months before she was arrested and her boyfriend was arrested first, so they may have done it together and he implicated her. I think LE had a good idea who did it very early on but needed to get evidence and try to figure out where body was. Once arrested she brought LE back to SC and showed them. Long post, but people come up with, all kind of things when getting rid of a body. Sometimes guess the most convenient, easiest method could go undetected as long as a great plan for the body. She is doing life, by the way, no parole chance that I know of.

I watched an ID show a few weeks ago where someone buried a body in a grave that had been dug for a funeral the next day. So, a coffin was put right on top of it and covered up at the funeral. What a "great" way to hide a body. Is this something LE ever looks into? If anyone was buried on/around the same time someone went missing?

If you were carrying a body or even just fleeing from a scene, why would you speed back home? Wouldn't you think that it would be prudent to obey traffic laws? Why risk getting caught due to speeding?
Adrenalin, fear and out of control rage come to mind. Killer wasn't thinking rationally, IMO.

With verizon you can take out the SIM card and put it in another phone. At least with the iPhone 5. Well, I was told by verizon I could, but I have yet to do it, so I can't verify it works. What the guy told me is that I can take out my SIM card and put it in my old verizon phone. I was having connection issues and we were trying to figure out if it was my phone or the SIM card. He sent me a new SIM card which I was to put in my new phone. Not sure if that makes any sense....it doesn't to me, which is why I did nothing. Plus, I couldn't figure out how to get the back off. Until a WS friend told me. Way too much work. Mysteriously my phone started working again.
FWIW, we have two Verizon droid phones in our house. One has a removable sim card, and the other does not. It's a specific phone model thing, not a Verizon or T-Mobile thing.

Apologies for not knowing, what kind of phone did she have?

TE has stated that their carrier is T-Mobile which is a GSM phone not a CDMA. Sprint and Verizon are CDMA and T-Mobile and AT&T are GSM.

the difference is that with a GSM phone you can take out the sim card and use it with a different phone. i wonder if taking out the sim card ended the data? i'm not familiar with that type of phone, but if anyone on here is, can u please explain how they work? thanks
Has anyone here ever used the feature where you hold one phone up to the other and transfer data back & forth. Can this be done without turning one of the phones on? Also, if the Sim card was taken out of heather's phone and put in one of the M's, that phone would then appear as Heather's account? I know with T-mobile, if you switch the Sim to another phone, they can ID the make and model of that phone. But it will still read as the owner of the account and not the phone. Maybe TM did that in hopes of getting info from Heather's phone...not realizing that her account would activate. Just imagine if her phone with Heather's Sim card in it started ringing or a text came through...then she would realize she f'd up...and pulled out the Sim hoping that would not show up on LE radar.

OHHHHHHH!!!!!! To see the data in Heather's phone maybe TM put her SIM into Heather's phone. Then, LE needs to go to M's Carrier and see what model number phone was in use between 3:41 AM and 6:00 AM or even for the next few days, weeks or months, even.

Or took Heather's sim card out and used a sim card reader to get information off of it.

Agreed. I have a Verizon iPhone 5s and I can swap my SIM to my prior phone, Galaxy S3. Just did it few days ago because I wanted the Swype keyboard app...
Definitely can switch the SIM.

that is just starting with Verizon, but you could not do it before. it doesn't matter though, Heather's carrier was T-Mobile which uses GSM and they only use SIM cards so that all your info can be switched easily when you change up phones...my question is...does taking out the SIM card disable the data, and does it disable the phone too so that you don't get any phone calls? i have searched but can't find the info...maybe someone who has a GSM phone can tell us. thanks

I'm not sure if GSM works the same way that CMDA works in that respect, but I can tell you that if you remove a sim card from a CMDA Thunderbolt phone (This Verizon phone with removable sim card was released in March 2011, so only been around 3 years), you can only make 911 calls on it. Cell Data (4G) did not work and phone/text did not work. You could, however, use WiFi on it.

thank you...now what if the M's took out only the sim card and not turned off the phone...you can still call 911 and your phone can still be tracked...only speculating because others are still questioning the initial 6am time frame that LE gave regarding the phone...

but this is a moot point because they can't find the phone

That's why I said, at least with an iPhone 5. I don't know about any other phones. I don't even know what will happen if I take it out and then swap them out because I didn't do it. If I do, I will be sure to let people know.

I am not sure what phone she had.

Do FB posts from mobile ever identify the phone they are being posted from like posts here do?

Or do we know anywhere else she posted that might show that?

What if the times on the cameras were not accurate??

I still believe LEs time will be ok due to the fact the cell phones of HE and the Ms ping at the ptl, and the Ms cell last pings at their compound.

But it might not be a moot point if they found a sim card that didn't belong to the Ms....

Do you all remember LE denied request for search warrant transcripts and one reason was because of (investigative techniques not known outside the government)? I googled that and read this:

http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSBRE97409R20130805?irpc=932

SOD and DICE I'm now not worried about this case. Wow. FBI they do not play. I bet they have every word typed and every word spoken. Domestic crimes can be solved by State Government with the help of these programs. Ty putting on my tinfoil hat again.

Mine did. It would say "posted from huawai social chat" and the huawei was specific to the phone and isp provider I was using at the time. It was a program already on my phone when I purchased it and wasn't able to uninstall it.

I have, it's called "BUMP" for iphone. It doesn't transfer everything and you can only do so much at a time. I really recommend it to anyone who has an iphone - when you switch phones with att your data rarely comes with it .. if you use bump before you put your sim card in, then it's all there. I back up with icloud for photos, gmail and other things.

While I have no idea if LE has video of them at the home... If the Ms already had those video cameras up at their home on the 18th, I can't imagine a scenario where LE wouldn't have confiscated that footage... and it's probably been analyzed by specialists to ensure footage wasn't deleted prior to LE seizing it.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

While I generally agree with you, I can certainly imagine the scenario they (LE) may not have video footage seized from their home surveillance system on or around the 17th/18th of December, possibly sporadic on up through their arrests (and beyond in fact if other residents possibly have control of the system) -- If they chose to erase, delete, not record/monitor any given day; it's their system, their choice. I bet that's their story (why I'd bet a million) of why there's no video of 12/17-18/13, possibly beyond, and I bet they're 'sticking to it!'.

The 'controllers' of the system can control what they want recorded, or not - and probably have a pretty secure way of erasing/destroying anything they don't want saved. Now, could it be a program like the 'oops, the washing machine didn't overwrite the deleted space on the camera', a la Jodi Arias? Maybe - but if I'm investing in a security system with 12 cameras, et al, that system better cut backflips FOR ME.

Hi! I'm new and am not sure I'm posting correctly, or in the right place...but I've been following this terribly sad and confusing forum for about a week...I keep having this thought pop into my head about the payphone....I know when my daughter had car trouble and her cell phone was almost dead, she came upon a payphone to call us...I told her I would call her right back after we found a tow truck...she gave me the number that was on the payphone and when calling her back it just rang and rang and rang..When she did not answer I called her cell phone and luckily it hadn't completely went dead and she told me she was standing right there at the payphone..so even though it rang on my end, it never rang on her end...and that makes me wonder if sm was at the payphone when Heather tried to call him back...and did he tell her to call him back and gave her the number..the number never came up on our landline home phone, it said something like "unknown caller". Just something that I've been trying to think through, and thought I'd pass it on to you all to see what you thought. Also, I'm a bit surprised that sm didn't have a tracfone or cheap prepaid phone that he kept hidden to communicate with others since tm had taken his phone. However, he may have been afraid to be caught with it, or maybe he was, and that fueled the fire, as well...these people are crazy nuts, and I am so sad that this beautiful young lady had to even be involved with them...so sad for her and her family...I pray she is brought home to rest in peace!

Welcome Missouri Granny! :seeya:

Very true, many of the pay phones, well of the FEW left, do not receive incoming calls at all. It'd be nice if a local could test that out on this phone we know of...

Which leaves us to believe Heather had to either at 1:something or 3:17 know to go to PTL. Did TM find SM, his phone, both and intercept HER at their meeting spot, leaving him out in the cold so to speak, so that when his atty says SM has no knowledge of what transpired at PTL, the darn fella may be telling the truth?
I just don't know.... I just see the two of these (let me go ahead and <NONmodsnip> my own self!) stumbling ALL OVER one another as a duo in this very narrow time frame! Did SM make it home, planning maybe a quick in and out shower to meet Heather, but then TM see the 3:17 call, perhaps a text, voicemails, the other calls start coming rapidly, Heather "Im at the landing." - TM infuriated, what, two days back from the cross country cuddle-fest, did she pull a gun on HIM - take the keys and go GET HER???

So, so many questions.....still, the biggest:

WHERE IS HEATHER???
