The Phone Calls in the early morning of Dec.18, 2013 (both PayPhone & cells)

I do- phone will ping independent of GPS pinging. Her phone is most likely google based droid, CDMA. CDMA tends to do better in coastal and rural areas- and I have not seen any posts by her complaining of dropped calls, etc.

They state data & GPS stopped.

Internet browsing, music streaming and GPS functionality all rely on data access.

Interactive: How police scoop up cellphone data

TE has stated that their carrier is T-Mobile which is a GSM phone not a CDMA. Sprint and Verizon are CDMA and T-Mobile and AT&T are GSM.

the difference is that with a GSM phone you can take out the sim card and use it with a different phone. i wonder if taking out the sim card ended the data? i'm not familiar with that type of phone, but if anyone on here is, can u please explain how they work? thanks

I feel pretty confident that video surveillance places the Ms at home when LE says they are at home. I don't think they've assumed this info. JMO

I have no info on the video surveillance. The bond hearing stated Moorer's phone cell data confirmed they were home at this time.

I think it's solved, I just think the media and LE cannot decide which time they like. :)

Will we have some adult beverages in the padded room?

Mmm hmmm. Your choice

I have been wondering the same thing. I've always had Verizon so I have no knowledge and can't seem to find the answer!

I must have misunderstood. I didn't recall reading that they have video surveillance of them at home. That changes many scenarios that many of us have discussed. I thought they said the video said the Moorer's vehicle.

While I have no idea if LE has video of them at the home... If the Ms already had those video cameras up at their home on the 18th, I can't imagine a scenario where LE wouldn't have confiscated that footage... and it's probably been analyzed by specialists to ensure footage wasn't deleted prior to LE seizing it.

With verizon you can take out the SIM card and put it in another phone. At least with the iPhone 5. Well, I was told by verizon I could, but I have yet to do it, so I can't verify it works. What the guy told me is that I can take out my SIM card and put it in my old verizon phone. I was having connection issues and we were trying to figure out if it was my phone or the SIM card. He sent me a new SIM card which I was to put in my new phone. Not sure if that makes any sense....it doesn't to me, which is why I did nothing. Plus, I couldn't figure out how to get the back off. Until a WS friend told me. Way too much work. Mysteriously my phone started working again.

Wasn't there a FB post by TM where she listed the time of all the calls Heather made, and said that SM only answered the second 3:17 call? I remember thinking it was so strange that she knew the exact time of all the calls and knew he answered the *second* 3:17 call.

ITA. Because she was right next to him

I don't know when they got the cameras. But, if this was premeditated, they could have turned the cameras off. That would look bad for them, but still wouldn't show them. Also, if the camera shows the road or public areas and their car is in the garage it may not show them. I don't know this, just throwing out ideas. That's how our cameras are at my house.

Just exploring all possibilities until we know more.

I don't have any info on surveillance either. I am speculating that with the gazillion cameras around the compound and a some type of business directly across the way that I am confident LE has video and knows exactly when the Ms were at home and when they weren't. I do not think that LE would assume just because their phone was at home that they were at home. Too risky. I know they stated this in a bond hearing but in a trial they'll need more --this was enough to keep the Ms jailed--they do not want to give defense too much in a bond hearing.
This is ALL just my opinion.
The bond hearing did not reveal everything they know I am speculating that I think they know more about when the Ms were home and when they weren't at home on 12/18 than just relying on cell data/pings. That's all.

I've had Verizon for about 14 years and never had a phone with a SIM card? My husband has an android phone from them and it's the first Verizon phone I've seen that has one. Just going on my experience and inexperience with anything SIM related!

The original comment I made was about who was on SM's cell phone that night. Based on what I have read in MSM and heard from LE, they have video, but of the Moorer's car. To my knowledge, they have not stated they have the Moorer's in it or that one of the Moorer's was on the other end of that call. That's why I stated someone else could have been on that call. All I was doing, along with everyone else was speculating and tossing out scenarios. I am not confident of anything at this point. I don't think anyone is really.

I'm pretty stinkin' confident that LE has a solid case. Maybe I've got my rose colored glasses on today.
LE has impressed me EVERY step of the way with this case. They have gone above and beyond most missing persons investigations I've followed. Probably having a multi divisional team helps. In fact that is the reason they have been so thorough.
They saw a truck matching SM truck going down their road in the middle of the night, they did not assume it was his truck (although one could) no, they found every truck registered matching that description then systematically eliminated all of the 81 others. That is thorough work. And this is just a small small piece of the puzzle. Imagine how thorough they are with bigger pieces.
So yes I am confident LE has a good solid case against the M duo :)

Heather was clearly anxious that night. She left her condo in a hurry. I have this idea, based on some far out feelings, but what if SM told her he was going home to get some things, check on the others, etc? HE doesn't hear from him. She finally gets through to his cell at 3:17am and he tells her he and TM fought, he's hurt and has to go to the hospital. . .hurry and meet him at PTL. HE gets there expecting SM with or without his truck. He's not there. . .she starts calling and texting him. She sees the headlights coming, grabs her stuff and jumps out of her car thinking they have to get to the ER.

I've had thoughts along this line. That HE was expecting a call back and was worried about what was going on.

Share the Light, ITA....and am grateful LE was extremely thorough in eliminating the 81 other trucks and thus providing credible, back able, proof that said truck is in FACT the Moorers....

Hockey mom four---( I apologize I don't know how to quote multiple posts and mean no disrespect) while I agree it's important to be open to all possible scenarios, in my mind someone other than the Moorers driving the Moorers truck at that time or someone other than one of the Moorers being on SM cellphone with HE that just seems too implausible to me, meaning who associated with the Moorers would be so invested in them as to involve his/her self in allegedly murdering an innocent, 20 year old girl? (I say allegedly out of respect for HE until she is found and returned to her family). JMO, and please in all sincerity no disrespect to your opinion....I am genuinely interested by your post....

Agreed. I have a Verizon iPhone 5s and I can swap my SIM to my prior phone, Galaxy S3. Just did it few days ago because I wanted the Swype keyboard app...
Definitely can switch the SIM.
