It's been so long, I can't remember but, did that hairdresser ever give a deposition?

I'm looking, but don't recall the name of this witness. Anyone?

Me neither...but I do remember Cindy asking about her...Casey denies having gone to the hairdresser for quite some time. It would be interesting if this person pops up on a list.

I don't recall the name of the witness either.
I do recall it was a hairdresser and what RR says above.
I thought this complaint along with the LE charge of child neglect is one of the reasons that the Dept of Children and Families came on the scene.

Methinks the name will pop up, closer to May 2011. :woohoo:

Was that the mark under the eye that either Ricardo or Jesse verified that Caylee had run into a table? I always thought it looked like a burn.

Lancelot, hola my friend! It's good to look back to the initial hearings, especially the bond hearing. I just wish it was posted somewhere in it's entirety. Please tell me you have found a link to the complete version?

To get back OT about abuse. I think she was abused. The purple eyes did it for me. Either lack of sleep, overmedication, too much crying. I've never seen such eyes in a child so young -- unless they were very ill.

I agree! I've been thinking the same things...

Perhaps ICA just told someone Caylee ran into a table . . .

Let's try to remember that this is only ONE doctor's opinion. It is possible that another doctor seeing the exact same records, reports, etc. would come up with a completely different opinion.

I would think that the Dr. who did the original examination would have made some comment or notation about this abnormalty if he felt it was necessary. He did not, just noted that "the posterior hallf of the sagittal suture appears to be in the beginning stages of premature synostosis"

He does not state it IS in the beginning staged, he says it appears to be.......there is a big difference there. I don't think this should be taken as a 'fact', it is only the opinion of one doctor.

What do you want? A consensus? It's obvious that there were some weird things going on with Caylee and I applaud Dr. Green for shedding light on what some of those things were. I certainly accept it as fact and I certainly do not accept anything Baez' lying experts (from Sweden or otherwise) have to say.

I think any mothers who lived during the depression era when they were young were affected this way. Very self-absorbed, looking out for self only. Not sure your Mom was around during the 1929 to 1939 era but I see a lot of it in my relatives. Not all but some. It was a very bad time to be young.
Mmm,no, I disagree. My mother was born in 1923. Although she wasn't physically affectionate towards me, and had a hard time telling me she was proud of me, she did actually listen when I'd tell her of my achievements, and would brag to others- I'd hear about it from her beauty parlor ladies. Although my mother had a tendency to play martyr, could be passive-aggressive, and went into denial about her brother abusing me, she actually did love me and I know she would sit down with me and teach me to read. I think this was her personality, NOT her "depression-era" generation.

RM is not a husband or father to the baby- not even a stepfather. A sleeping child is very vulnerable. I wouldn't allow my current lover in bed with my daughter. Besides, why was she in his bed? You really think sleeping and honor were the motives? If so, Casey and Caylee would be in the bed alone and RM on the couch.

Exactly! This is nowhere in the same category as Attachment Parenting, where you let your infant sleep with you so that you can have easy access for breast-feeding, or comforting a child with nightmares!

Nope, just the ones on Youtube. Are the ones from the news stations missing?

Has anyone else been able to find how any kind of abuse could be tied to satittal suture premature synostosis?

I have been searching all week on web sites that discuss sagittal suture premature closure and sites that show conditions and children with crooked heads and smiles, but with limited understanding on this subject, I haven't been able to find any articles or discussions on how this could ever indicate abuse.

Something is making some bones grow faster? Or sleep positions for months that could ever prove this child was strapped onto her back in abuse? I don't know if experts could take this further in court.

Uh Oh - flashbacks from the OJ trial. They were the first dream team:(

Strictly in the interest of covering all possibilities:

There is also a condition commonly called "allergy eyes" which makes a person have dark circles under their eyes. I had it as a child. (In fact there is a photo of me at circa age seven with two "black" eyes, two front teeth missing and leaning back against a brick wall that makes me look like I've gone a losing round or two in the ring). My son had it as well.

My nephew (6yo) was waiting with me on thurs. for a prescription, and all was fine with him until his eyes literally turned red and purple bags underneath within minutes. I freaked out and called my sis, gave him a chewable Alaverert® ... and it went away as fast as it showed up.

It's my understanding that Dr. Green did not examine Caylee's remains. He was asked to look at Dr. Garavaglia's medical examination report and give his opinion by Valhall according to this link http://www.thehinkymeter.com/2010/01/09/the-dark-side-of-caylees-life/.

I appreciate his knowledgeable insight, but I read it with a bit of skepticism since he never examined the body firsthand.

If I'm mistaken and Dr. Green did actually examine Caylee please provide a link.

I was on another thread where a picture of Caylee with what appears to be a lesion on her tongue is and while researching tongue lesions I somehow ran across this information which relates to a crooked smile/drooping face.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horner's_syndrome

I'll be back.

I've had some minor surgery for Horner's. While it does cause unequal size pupils, a drooping (or lagging) lid and sometimes the appearance of one eye being sunken or smaller than the other, it does not have any symptomology connected with the mouth or any other area of the face.

It can, however, be caused by trauma to the nerve. Mine started showing up after a car accident.

I don't think this has any connection to anything that I see in the pictures of Caylee.

I can't see the link either between satittal suture premature synostosis and as Dr. Green concluded “non-specific but worrisome evidence of chronic child abuse.” He also stated that Caylee was a savagely abused child, but I find no evidence to support that in anything he said, in any of the discovery released or in any interviews from people that knew her.

Oh. Somehow I got to this when I learned that the rear of the tongue (where it looks like Caylee had some kind of a cyst) connects to the facial nerve which is one of 12 cranial nerves leading directly from the brain. The facial nerve involves 2/3 of the tongue and attaches to the brain in the part of the brain that is said to have been closing prematurely - near the front edge of the left side of the rear lobe if you look from the top of one's head from behind. I read further where it said that an accident that deprives one of oxygen can cause facial droop (trauma, infections and other systemic pathologies can be the cause).

I just found it interesting that the tongue and the brain (facial nerve) are directly related. We have a picture of Caylee with what looks to be a lesion on the back part of her tongue and then a picture of Caylee with a drooping mouth and eye changes. Those two pictures do cause me to wonder what might have been going on with her or if they could be related to one another.

Obviously I'm not a Doctor but something was askew imo.
