I have to disagree here, this sounds exactly like what I think she would do. IMO, it was a pre-emptive strike to explain the stench.. Then she could say, see, I already told you about the smell.

Canvas bag yes, but don't forget the plastic trash bags that were included. I believe it was 2 plastic trash bags and the laundry bag, plus some bedding from the house. It's a wonder the smell got out at all!

True USARDOG.KC would lie in great detail when it wasn't necessary ,and IMO would lie in advance ,knowing at some point someone would notice the smell.

Well, two of the above three found it unforgettable. The other found KC standing away from the car.

KC didn't even pretend surprise at the odor, BTW. Just started making excuses for it.

And let's not forget she parked the car next to a dumpster.Any smell would likely be attributed to that. TL and the Amscot employee didn't know Caylee was missing at that time ,so most likely wouldn't associate a smell with the car if it was next to a dumpster.

Absolutely correct... Most people would avoid parking next to a dumpster, but not kc. A perfect place to ''hide" her car, in plain sight, and next to a dumpster. Any normal person would think the smell was coming from there, not her car.

Remember, there was a time when polygraphs were not admissible. If RS were to be admissible in court I would say there would be far fewer law suits. But I would think that judges and attorney's would be fearful of what could be revealed during a trial from their own thoughts, and therefore would be long time coming before they would let that happen.

I would say more than most investigators do not know that Reverse Speech exists. Those that do, like the Oregon State Police, have offered courses to train their officers in finding RS to aid in their investigations. If more investigators did use it as a tool to aid in their investigations I would think millions could be saved in taxpayer dollars by focusing on information revealed from potential suspects and witnesses.

By the way isn't this thread about presenting information that SODDI? not whether or not RS is used in court?

Hi Shawn, When I first started looking at this case, I stumbled across a reverse speech site. i am assuming it was your site. Anyways, on that site it made reference to a name starting with a "C" interestingly and almost a little spooky is that as I was researching Zeneida Fernandez-Gonzales on PeopleFinders.com the name in Caseys reverse speech starting with a "C" showed up as a aka for Zeneida. Do you have any other info on this name other than what is on the site?

Seems like two behaviors point to KC's lies (other than the fact that her lips are moving): She over-explains (too much detail) ,and she says, "In all honesty."

Today, on a clip on NG, she said, "In all honesty, I don't care how long I'm in here (jail). I only care about finding Caylee."

She wouldn't know "honesty" if it walked up and sat in her lap.

I dunno, though. Human decomp smells a lot worse than garbage.

KC admitted that her car had the stench of death to it on the 25th of June. GA wouldn't admit to smelling anything on the 24th whether he did or not. The guy who towed the vehicle said he had a cold and probably wouldn't be able to smell anything if there was an odor. I don't know why TL didn't smell anything. Maybe the gas fumes overwhelmed the odor. It may have been the wind direction or where he was standing in relation to the trunk. At any rate, the car smelled bad on the 25th or KC wouldn't have texted AH and told her about it.

Maybe TL had heard the squirrel story and didn't question the smell the day that he helped KC with the gas.....

Though you would think TL would have mentioned the smell to LE if he did smell it, LE had had to pressure info out of TL before...For example, TL did not initially tell LE about the comment he made to KC about not wanting to father girls/wanting to have boys. LE had to pressure that out of him, and they told TL they knew he was hesitant to tell them about that comment because he was shaken up and thought maybe he could have prevented/been the cause of Caylee's death.

Maybe TL did not tell LE about an odor because he knew it was bad for KC, worse for Caylee, and did not want to go there. Purely speculation, of course!

ETA-Sorry, the above appears to be straying off-topic, I just noticed we are talking about SODDI here, and I do not think TL is that other dude!

So true-----but, in KC's way of thinking, if somebody walked by the car they would think it was the garbage and not the car.

I have no experience in this area, but I'm thinking,1)TL and Amscot lady may not have experienced the smell of human decomp before and assumed any smell was from the dumpster and 2) the smell grew stronger as it sat in the sun in the towyard.
That was just my assumption based on nothing LOL.

Now back to SODDI, if JB is going to throw the A's under the bus at trial I would think he'd start undermining them publicly in little ways.We need to be on the lookout for more signs of this.
IMO JB is going to throw a lot of people under the bus. He's already started overtly with JG and RK,but I think he's going to start working on the A's [or at least one of them]. Almost everything KC can be linked to,her family can be linked to,so it would fit in with the evidence.

If I were walking in the area and got a whiff of some horrible thing, I'd think dumpster, not car. People throw all kinds of nasty in a dumpster, not too many people put the nasty in their cars!@

According to the notes I made from Casey's text messages, etc GA filed the police report on missing gas cans on June 24 and the first time she mentions smell in her messages is the 25th. If that smell was so familiar to George as an ex detective, just her opening her trunk to get the gas cans that day should have set off GA's hink meter I would think. If the body was there and decomposing he wouldn't have to be right next to the trunk to detect it. I'm just confused about whether it was already gone or if that's the day it gets moved out, bag tears and odor shows up? Lots of stuff going on that day--Jesse thinks he hears Caylee in background and same day he quits police dept. Any thoughts?
