I thought that too.

Did have a half a second heart attack and did for a sec believe the Olivia/Jury joke. Nope I'm not blonde.

Thanks It's a vibe, I didn't realize Mr Dickie used to be a fireman. I knew he was cool guy, now I know why.

From memory I believe firefighters formed a guard of honour during Allison's funeral as well.

Oh dear, when Marly's away, the kids do play.

All this talk about firemen. Now I'm the one who needs a ciggie. : )

OK. Let's play a game. I'll set fire to the house and you can stand out on the lawn in a little white hand towel. Does that sound like fun??

I really can't believe actually on a day quite possibly that there may be a verdict on whether their son is convicted of murdering his wife, they could be calmly perusing the magazine shelves of the newsagent. I think most people would be a mess and surely would not want to be out and about in the spotlight..

it's interesting isn't it how different people can be ..... i know I wouldn't be very calm, I'd be a nervous wreck if I was waiting around for verdict that was going to put one of my family members behind bars for a long time

I was lucky enough to be on 2 juries in recent months and morning and afternoon teas were supplied to the jury room, also, lunch from day 1 to day 5 we were taken to a local restaurant by the bailiff and the sheriff then served a pre ordered lunch. The last day of one of them, we ate in the jury room. Some jurors were smokers but if the smokers wanted to go for one, everybody had to go as a group, we were not allowed to seperate and could step away but be in site at all times to make certain we were not approached by anyone.

Interesting.
We were free to do as we pleased while trial was underway. We were escorted to the pavement, warned about approaches and talking in public, and then allowed to roam at will. Some ate together, others spent the time alone wandering town for a feed.
Only once deliberating were we forced to stay in the room as a group with lunch supplied.

Haha. Maybe a few kittens up a tree would be a better idea. But on a very, very hot day, where is absolutely necessary that their shirts be removed.

I reckon they know he did it and are just hoping like him, all believing their own BS

I bet Murphys Law....the minute I leave there will be a verdict

HENCE I think I should leave

That's why I am not game to leave either. Perfect day to have off and kid free for now too. :happydance:
But I have been posting enough today. Hope I haven't been too annoying.

I found the last time that they were a lot more relaxed about it than they had been. The first one I did, we were instructed to watch out for anyone following us, don't hang around afterwards, don't use public transport and have someone drop you off and pick you up etc. There were no such instructions the last time.

Yes, I mean, I know we all react differently to stress etc, and you can put on a brave face while being a mess inside.. But.. I don't know, in a situation like that I think most would not be able to even put on a brave face and carry on 'business as usual' MOO

True, but I guess I'd still be pretty anxious, because you just never know which way a jury may go. Even if I believed entirely in their innocence. MOO though.
