I am sure that someone will put her semi-finale audition up on YouTube. I sure hope that someone provides a link for us here!

I wish Miss Boyle ALL the best--and that every one of her dreams come true!

Oh, Me too Cleo! I didn't even know this thread was here and I bet I've listened to her sing 'Cry Me a River' and the Les Miserable song a hundred times. LOLOLOL Incredible.

So she has already sung. It is 3pm in Oregon which is Midnight in England, right? Have we heard anything yet?

PS: Guess I should read the whole thread, right. I am just too excited for her. Ya Baby :blowkiss:

Thanks Chilly Willy!! This was awesome..I still LOVE the 1st performance because of the song itself...But in my heart she's a WINNER already!!!

Hi Dolly, I'm so glad she's going to the final. :woohoo::woohoo: :blowkiss:

Such a voice and I was surprised at her choice of a song as it isn't really a show-stopper. But I think she did a beautiful job and also think that she might have a thang for that judge who took her out on a date. LOLOLOL

Do you know what musical that song was from? I found it, 'Memories' from Kats.

PS: I LOVED her hair, eyebrows, dress ~ a perfect makeover that still showed the real Susan. Just wonderful. Ya Ya

Chilly, thank you for posting the video,I was hoping someone would.Susan Boyle hasn't disappointed me,her voice range is phenominal!!!I am in awe of her,or anyone who has a beautiful voice, because I've always wanted to be a singer and never carried it through.

Thanks again Chilly...btw,where have you been? I've been missing your posts in the Caylee Anthony forum, you were always the voice of reason, and I usually agreed with you.

I am just enthralled with Susan.

I am hoping she goes all the way to the TOP!

Her voice is so beautiful and so is she. She is so sweet but spunky. lol Nice combination, imo.

Wow, I agree with all of above. It is pretty awesome to see Simon give anyone a standing ovation.

Where have you been Chilly, have missed you too.

Susan Boyle is my hero! I will be first in line to pick up her first CD, and hoping it will be all show tunes. She has found a ninch I believe, perhaps she can reinvigorate that genre. There is some wonderful music out there that is dying. Thank you Susan, the woman who shut Simon up!

Wasn't she cute when they announced her name? She seemed so shocked, like she has no clue how great she really is.

I've missed everyone too, but I felt it would make a lot of people happier, myself included, if I bowed out of the Anthony thread. Thanks for missing me :blowkiss:.

Thanks for the video! You go Susie baby! :D

She did a beautiful job - ( a little off-key start, from nerves) - could definitely perform on stage. (Broadway) She is so funny with her "wiggles"; I think she is adorable.

Hi Marthatex, I so agree with you about her performance today. I've been thinking it may be more difficult to sing a soft song for a huge audience and have a standing ovation than a torch song.

I am very proud of Susan and thankful she didn't overdo anything. Just right like the baby bear said :blowkiss:

So Dolly Dear, What song do you think she will sing next Sunday night? LOLOL

I can guarantee it will be from a Broadway musical. xox

Wow! I LOVE Broadway Musicals!! So, I would LOVE to hear her sing "Love Changes Everything" from Aspects of Love OR "You Must Love Me" from Evita! But wouldnt it be Beautiful for her to sing "Reflections" from Mulan!

What do you think Scandi, Love? :blowkiss:

Hey, hey, HEY! ;)

Show music is alive and well, thank you, no matter what Simon Cowell may say about "Broadway" singers. And unlike pop music fans, musical theater fans are very loyal and continue - even late in life - to buy the CDs of their favorite performers and writers.

It's true that Broadway doesn't rule the Top 40 charts the way it did when West Side Story or The Sound of Music were #1 for years at a time. But that's been true since the mid-1960s, yet Broadway and the West End keep plugging along, selling millions of CDs every year.

And let's face it: the "Top 40" ain't exactly what it was in the 1950s either.

P.S. to whoever it was who questioned Boyle's choice of "Memory" from Cats. That show was an ever bigger hit in London than it was on this side of The Pond. I think it's crap (song and show), but I suspect Ms. Boyle knows her audience.

Dolly, apparently you're a neighbor as well as a fellow musical theater fan.

Can I lend you some CDs? Something to help you get over your unnatural Andrew Lloyd Webber attachment?

(You don't know me, so I should probably point out that this post is a joke. :blowkiss:)

BTW, if you're an incurable Webber fan, check out Any Dream Will Do on BBC America. It's a contest to choose the lead in a revival of Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Webber himself appears as the head judge. (New episodes premier early Sunday evening and there are only two left.)

Don't Rain on my Parade would seem ftting, and Susan would do wonders with that one!
