Canada usually calls for 10-25 years I believe. No death penalty here !

No one has claimed that to be the case. But it's always a good thing when a judge has a reputation as being somewhat fair IMO

The penalty is life imprisonment, with parole possible after 25 years for the charges that CN, DM and MS face.
However Harper brought in consecutive sentencing, so DM's period until possible parole could be as long as 75 years (50 years for MS).
It's interesting that Justice AG is based in Kitchener...is that meaningful in any way? (I mean, in terms of a change of venue.)
