Good find! If those are her remains I would expect an arrest and charges will soon follow.
They likely won't determine the sex until the medical examiner or a forensic anthropologist can examine them. The pelvis would be the most reliable means for determining sex. The female pelvis is designed for space for the birth canal, which is reflected in its morphology and the relationship of its parts to each other. A forensic anthropologist can usually tell the sex just by a visual inspection. The skull also can be used to determine or confirm the sex of an individual. As the female ages from puberty to adult, her skull retains many of the prepubertal traits (i.e. smoothness). The male skull will exhibit more robustness, larger muscle attachment areas, more pronounced brow ridges, squared lower jaw, etc. If the skull and pelvis are missing, determining the sex may be difficult. If DNA identification becomes involved it can take many weeks to get results unless an LE agency with better lab abilities is used. I do hope for closure for the family of whomever this is.

It's not her.

So glad that LE is continuing their search. Don't expect the suspect to come clean, but hopeful that someone saw something and will come forward.

Desheena and all these young ladies in DV situations deserve so much better.

Police call Desheena Kyle case ‘possible homicide,’ name boyfriend person of interest

posted Sep. 23, 2021

"More than three months after her disappearance, the Knoxville Police Department declared the Desheena Kyle case a possible homicide and named her boyfriend a person of interest.

“It is definitely news you won’t want to hear,” Kyle’s aunt Rita Turner said.

In regards to the new developments, the family said they are shocked and it is borderline unbelievable. However, Turner said police have been operating under the assumption the case was a homicide for months.

Desheena Kyle was reported missing from her apartment at 1307 Wilson Road on June 28 by her grandmother, who authorities said last spoke to her on June 14. She has not been seen or heard from her since June 23, according to police.

Authorities said they decided to treat the case as a possible homicide based on the lack of sightings, the longer amount of time that has passed without contact with friends or family, and other factors."

Around the time of her disappearance, two witnesses told Knoxville Police Department investigators they saw the man arrive at Kyle's apartment complex around lunchtime on June 18.

The witnesses said they heard yelling and arguing and the sound of glass breaking.
