Forgive me. I’m not well versed about military. He’s deployed to Louisiana? I read an article that said he was stationed there. Is there a difference between stationed and deployed?
Also when they are active military are they allowed to have custody of children?

It is my understanding that active duty military cannot have sole physical custody of their children because they are working full time in their military duties - someone else has to be available to supervise the children. Single parents can enlist in the military but someone else has to have physical custody of the children - even if the parent retains legal custody.

I also read that in Tennessee, the law grants full custody to the mother in the case of unmarried parents. The parents would have to agree (or the dad contest for) a different custody arrangement. I'm sure just like in every other state the non-custodial parent would be entitled to visitation, etc.

Thank you for the explanation! I appreciate it.

I wonder how involved dad was with his daughter. I haven’t seen much chat about that or the last time he saw her either. I don’t think dad had any involvement with her going missing but it seems like he may have been a better placement for her than mom. I’m hoping if she is found there is a safe place for her to return to, maybe dad?

Deployments are temporary assignments..family members are not allowed to join the military member for a deployment. Deployments can last from a few days to several months. "Stationed" means permanent duty station, usually in the continental US, family members are allowed to accompany the service member to the new permanent station. There are some permanent stations overseas that are unaccompanied..meaning family cannot go to the new station.

I believe I read he was stationed in Louisiana but had recently returned from a deployment.

Thank you! That’s what I had thought but wasn’t sure. I’m hoping dad can step up and give this babe a safe place and a good life if and when she is found. I haven’t heard much about his relationship with her though.

So maternal Grandmother and a guy were the individuals who were in possession of a stolen BMW linked to the amber alert? Evelyn is still missing.

I'm just trying to get it straight in my head. Evelyn's grandfather was the one who reported her missing. The last person who saw her on the December 10 or 11th was a babysitter.

But Evelyn's mom (MB) said she last left her with someone while she worked and that is the person who has her. So was that person MB's mom? And if so where is the Evelyn?

LE must have so much patience because I would want to grab MB and shake her and scream, Stop lying! Where is your baby!?

Again, there are so many people who would make amazing parents that can't have kids and then there are people like this...

"Well the reason I didn't report it or anything was I knew the person who had her, and I didn't want them to run away with her," Boswell said. "And as soon as they thought anything was going on they just kinda vanished. So I'm just kinda worried, you know, about where they are at. What they're doing with her at this point in time."

She says that Evelyn was with a person she trusted to watch her daughter while she was at work.

But Boswell says she cannot name names.

"In a way I knew that as soon as anything went down this person was going to disappear and they have. And they have tried to find them... They won't answer phone calls. They just kinda disappeared."

Boswell tells News 5 she'd do things differently if she is given a second chance.

"Yeah I probably would have called the first day. I should have. But I just didn't want them to run with her, like they have now."

Megan Boswell says she knows who has Evelyn, claims she was afraid to report her missing

From the interview, I got that LE has “befriended” MB. That is actually a very smart move. If MB knows where she is, she is a lot more likely to tell someone she trusts. Plus, she has lacked stability, so she probably craves positive relationships. As much as I originally felt that they should turn up the pressure on her, I think they are doing exactly what has the greatest odds to bring Evelyn home (assuming that sweet little girl is still alive). MOO
