An article about the aunt and nephew. It says they were more like brother and sister. Her child was probably at some relative's house. Maybe her parents?

I know when the motive is revealed it will be something totally stupid and here four people have lost their lives and a really young child has lost his mom.

But, how did the murderer shoot four people without at least one escaping the car and trying to run away?In the article in a prior post, it more or less sounds like the person who found them didn't see anything too unusual until he realized they were all dead. Maybe I'm missing something?

BBM: I counted to four (four seconds) which is plenty of time for someone to fire at least four shots at close range. I think there would be an initial shock, but no time to open the door, let alone run. Even if the shooter hesitated, I would probably be in to much shock to do anything quick and probably try and beg for my life.

CROSSVILLE (WATE) - Officials in Cumberland County say they are questioning another person or persons who could be connected to the case of four people found shot to death in a car last week. The news came as the community made plans to hold a vigil in honor of the victims.......

Investigators with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department are still collecting evidence and determining what happened.

"[We're] putting everything together and trying to get in a position where we can eventually, I think, go to the grand jury," said the sheriff.........

New Details In Quadruple Homicide Investigation

The victims were all found shot multiple times with a handgun. The motive appears to be robbery. Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director Mark Gwynn has not ruled out the possibility of it being drug related.

Bennett likely knew the victims and may have had a personal connection with one of them. Danielle Jacobsen had a 4-year-old child, and the district attorney may do a DNA test to see if Bennett is the father........

Police do not have a murder weapon, but there are indications there may be an accomplice or witness to what happened..........

......Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents and Rhea County sheriff's deputies surrounded the area by a Dayton apartment duplex on Railroad Street Thursday night in search of Jacob Allen Bennett, 26, in the shooting deaths of three teens and a woman on Renegade Mountain that morning......

Neighbors said Bennett stayed with a girlfriend at the apartment, but it's unclear if his girlfriend knew about the slayings. An arrest report listed Bennett at a Crab Orchard address in Cumberland County......

That night, authorities allege, Bennett and Moser tried to rob two of the would-be victims -- Domonic Davis and Rikki Jacobsen -- during what was a "marijuana exchange."

Somehow, that led to gunshots. Jacobsen, who was in the driver's seat, and her three passengers -- Davis 17, Stephen Presley, 17, and 16-year-old Jonathan Lajeunesse all were killed........

Bennett was arrested within 20 hours of being spotted by a passerby in a car near the Renegade Mountain community, about 70 miles west of Knoxville.

So, what do you think happened?

Jacob and Brittany met the four to sell them pot, instead pulled a gun to rob them, one refused and Jacob shot him/her, so then shot the rest to not leave witnesses?

4 young people dead over what, in the end, is a weed.

So, two victims had young children and one murderer had a young child... very sad.

I don't think someone as stupid as this guy could shoot four people in four seconds. There was no need to murder any of them to rob them. There being another person there, even if there was only one gun, buys time. It perhaps took less than a minute though.

Here you go; eerie, so similar............A car and 4 bodies found on a rural Alabama logging road

CNN ‎- 4 days ago

"Detectives are trying to determine why four people were found shot to death in a car on a rural Alabama road.

DOUBLE SPRINGS, Ala. (AP) — Police have identified four people from Tennessee who were found shot dead in rural Alabama.

The dead were discovered Wednesday inside a car parked on a logging road near a forest south of Double Springs.

Authorities said the deceased include 30-year-old Kevin Carey, 29-year-old Robert Hamrick, 39-year-old Christie Hunt Hamrick and 37-year-old Andy Keith Hunt. Winston County Sheriff Rick Harris said all four people were from Savannah, Tenn"

I've wondered if the two are connected. Double Springs and Savannah are not that far apart. Savannah is kinda half way between the two killings.

Jacob Allen Bennett case shows extradition issues

No one will ever be sure whether Jacob Allen Bennett's future would have been altered in 2009 if the Escambia County State Attorney's Office had followed up on a felony warrant it had issued for his arrest on fraud charges.

Now held in a Tennessee prison awaiting his trial in a quadruple murder case, the 26-year old Bennett had a considerable criminal history in Florida when Escambia Assistant State Attorney James Parker declined a chance to extradite him.
