She was without her passport, her DL, her credit cards etc...she had her keys and her phone. And her car.
Did she have her DL before she left for the Lake House?
How does anyone decide to take off without everything they might need for at least a little while? :waitasec:
She was doing nothing, legally, wrong if she left for a while. No reason not to take anything.
So where are all of her id's and credit/debit cards now, and is that how MP knew she had changed the pin? Because he used the card?
So confusing.
This just occurred to me: Matt wants a restraining order because Gail took her passport and he's afraid she might sneak back and take the kids out of the country.
But Gail didn't take her passport. Susie has it along with some cash. Matt didn't know that though. Apparently he went looking for Gail's stuff, saw the passport was missing, and decided to file a restraining order.
When he looked through that stuff, he would have seen that her driver's license and credit cards were still there. And now he knows her passport is with Susie and not with Gail. So why keep asking for a restraining order?
As I live on the other side of the planet can I ask if where she lives is up a mountain???? I know it is a stupid question but I thought I'd check. And if she does live up a mountain is it a windy road that someone can go of the edge? And if someone can drive of the edge of the road easily is it possible for a car wreck to be not seen easily???
Is this a possibility or do I have the terrain all wrong?
Well, it's possible she went off the bluffs somewhere and slipped under the Kudzu....but not to be too disparaging, Signal Mountain compared to your mountains is really just a wee hill!
Many of us are frustrated that no apparent search of these possible areas has been executed by police. The thought has been that they are working on other leads and so do not feel the need...
It would be nice to have a confirmed sighting at the bottom of the mountain, and possibly, the cell pings are what the police are using as a benchmark for this? They may know that she left the Mountain area.
I have been wondering about the broad scope of the ping area...if Gail had a newer phone (seems likely), don't they have a GPS tracker in them? More info on the pings would really help us with where to look...or not to look.
what this reference means.Also...The North foot/base of the mountain in local speak is not Dunlap because the foot/base of the mountain is where the W and 127 come down. The other way it is Walden's Ridge rather than The Mountain....So what is most North in that area, is
Where did the phone ping for the two days prior to May 2nd?
So are we back to not knowing who drove Gail's Jeep away?
Wanted to bring out a couple things here.......again from experience.
1) WHY HAVE THEY WAITING SO LONG TO SEARCH???????
2) I wonder if she took the passports fearing he would try to leave the country with the kids??? just a thought.....
3) Could the motive be jealousy of girlfriend?
4) I know there was talk that she MIGHT have been on her way or going to walmart on the 30th. I did not read if this was ever able to be confirmed or not, but my aunt was last seen at a walmart. They did not have camera's in the parking lot, but they did have them at the entrance doors, etc. They were able to see her walking in, which gave a description of clothes, time frames, etc. We were not able to see anyone following her at this point, however, if she did go to walmart, it may be different in her case???? just thoughts....
5) I know the family has turned down a lot of media coverage and are being very selective in what they are allowing.
Because the kids passports are missing too. That was brought out in something here or in the paper-don't remember which.
If I were Gail's family, I would press the SMPD/HCSO,
for all available information regarding Gail's cell phone pings
after she departed the residence, at approx. 12:15 pm on
Saturday, April 30th.
Diane Nichols, Gail's sister, said traces on Gail Palmgren’s cellphone
directed police to an area near the north base of Signal Mountain.

I'd especially question the above information, as to how the SMPD
arrived at the determination of the north Signal Mountain location.
Even contact the Cell Tower Service provider for help in interpreting
the ping history of Gail's phone. Mountainous areas make it
difficult to trust that task to a local LE jurisdiction.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office should prove to be much more
reliable in the interpretation of cell phone pings.
a high resolution topographical map of the surrounding area
from the U.S Geological Survey
including the area of the responding cell towers
would be invaluable in interpreting pings
But I'd still press for as much information on the ping history
as possible.

I'm interested in knowing where exactly the ping came from at the north base of the mtn on the 30th..
