Chris Daughtry's Daughter's Death, Detectives Told Family It's Homicide

3:39 PM PT -- Sources directly connected to the Daughtry family tell TMZ ... detectives have told the family Hannah’s death was a homicide.
The sources also tell us Bobby Jolly was Hannah's boyfriend. Now, law enforcement tells us Jolly was arrested at Fentress County Jail on Friday ... the same day Hannah's body was found. Police will not say why he was arrested -- nor will they tell us if he is a person of interest or suspect in Hannah’s death.
District Attorney General Jared Effler does confirm Fentress County is conducting a death investigation.

“Hi I am Hannah Price and I am raising money for my medical bills,” she wrote. “I was airlifted after being shot in Humboldt TN Oct 12 2018 and had emergency surgery. I’m also raising money to pay for my next surgery. I do have insurance so it covers most of it but I have an out-of-pocket pay about $120. I totaled my car whenever I was shot trying to save my friend so I also need to save money to get a new vehicle so that I can start working again.”

Terrible that she was shot in the face by gang members in 2018, just 8 months after her biological father committed suicide via gunshot to the head. I am pretty shocked that she had to start a to ask for $$ to cover her $120 insurance deductible and for a new car. Surely her very wealthy parents could've helped her?

Then the article states a few months before her death she was part of a hit and run and was arrested as a result.... Apparently her boyfriend threatened the victims with a gun. This boyfriend sounds like a a very dangerous person.

Now it seems that same boyfriend may be involved in her death, which is being investigated as a homicide! Just horrible!!

On Saturday, Price’s mother, Deanna Daughtry, hinted at a traumatic death, saying she was waiting on an autopsy “to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death.”

Price’s boyfriend, B**** J****, was arrested Friday, according to TMZ, but it’s unclear if that was related to Price’s death.

Chris and Deanna did everything possible to help Hannah with her troubles, including raising her 2 children. Sometimes you can go above and beyond to try and get your children to make better life decisions and they continue to make choices that lead them in a dangerous and dark path... they loved Hannah deeply and are devastated.

The DA said in a statement that it is too premature and “irresponsible” to consider her death a homicide. It also stated that no one has been arrested in connection with her death.

‘Please Just Stop!’: Chris Daughtry’s Wife Slams Rumors About Daughter’s Death

Rocker Chris Daughtry’s wife lashed out on social media Friday against rumors that her 25-year-old daughter’s death was a homicide.

“We were not told that and never said that to anyone!” Deanna Daughtry said in an Instagram post in response to speculation stoked by a TMZ report

Deanna Daughtry expressed concern that someone was being blamed without evidence.

“Having questions & concerns is one thing but harassing someone and calling them a murderer before all the facts are in is wrong on every level regardless of their history”

She said the swirl of rumors was compounding the family’s grief.

“I lost my child and I’m having to now also deal with rumors and assumptions about her. The people who loved her are in pain and we are mourning they are not talking to the press, they are not spreading rumors and they sure as hell are not making this about themselves. So everyone please just stop!” she wrote.

Considering that Hannah's biological father died from suicide in 2018, and considering that genetic factors contribute to mental illness/suicidal ideation, I'm thinking suicide is another possibility. Sounds like a deeply troubled young woman. So sad.

"While authorities have said that Bobby was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in his alleged hit-and-run case, The Sun can exclusively reveal that that warrant was filed back in June of this year- when he failed to appear in court on the hit-and-run charges he and Hannah were facing.

"However, that warrant did not appear to be pursued until Hannah's body was discovered on Friday- when Bobby was picked up by the Fentress Sheriff's Department and his custody was handed over to Putnam County Sheriff earlier this week, as that is where the pair's hit-and-run case is being heard."

It's also worth noting that there's apparently no evidence that a gang member shot Hannah in the eye because there was no investigation of the incident. It's possible that story was fabricated, Hannah shot herself, or she was a victim of domestic violence. It is a shame that there was never an investigation, but it appears she may have never even filed a report:

"While Hannah had revealed alleged details of the incident, it’s unclear who shot her, or if she ever reported the incident to authorities.

"According to one of Hannah's Facebook posts, the shooting happened when she was taken to "a place where she did not feel safe" by a "friend she barely knew."

"Hannah claimed she was shot as she tried to save her friend's life after teenagers who wanted to join a gang tried to kill him."

Hopefully this young lady will find a peace in death that she didn’t have on this earth. Sad story.
