Bobo was taken from a one-story, ranch-style house, faced in brown brick. The houses are not close together, and some are on parcels large enough for the owners to keep livestock.

Investigators say the brother is helping with the investigation, and they are looking into the possibility that someone may have checked out her home before the abduction. Police are asking neighbors to report any unusual people or cars in the area.

Is anyone able to find a good arial photo of the property? I am unable get a clear understanding of where things are situated. Google doesn't zoom in close enough and clear enough to tell and there are sooooo many trees. I didn't realize there was a barn.

I didn't realize there was a barn either and where exactly is this barn located at?

Yeah but an earlier article stated a neighbor heard her screaming.. so there is at least 1 house close by

while the circumstances are different for their disappearances- Morgan Harrington looks so much like Holly Bobo - both young blond college 20 yr old students.. though charlottesville VA and rural TN are pretty far apart.. I dont beleive they ever caught or convicted anyone in Morgans case... Prayers to Hollys family and hope she is found safe soon.

I beleive Holly was also often a performer at church or other events so that also cound be where the perp started his fixation with her.. but it wouldnt seem that this was a random crime but instead that Holly wasi n fact the intended target. however seriously wonderign how far this guy could go with a struggling victim on foot thru a wooded area..

I'm thinking there was a vehicle near by and that is how he was able to get away so quickly.
And I don't think they were in the woods for very long either.

YOu can hear a car start from your home several hundred feet into the woods at least.. 4 wheelers too.... plus the brother said he stopped at the edge of the woods...
so mom was in the house calling 911, brother had to have heard a vehicle start up or at least try to get out.. i assume there would be a little spinning of tires given the wet ground and the perps haste in getting out of there

I'm not seeing in any of today's stories about the neighbor...wonder if that was reported wrong, or there never was a neighbor? Does anyone else see anything about a neighbor/witness today?

Everything is so darn confusing I don't know what to believe....

Something is weird in this case...I don't understand why LE will not say that her family is NOT involved...they have to know that leaves room for doubt...

And I don't think there was another witness outside the brother and/or mother...no more on that today that I can find.

There was a neighbor who heard her scream but I don't know if they saw her being abducted.

I also doubt they could get very far in an ATV in those woods. I'm thinking maybe it was not an ATV but possible a car or van etc that was waiting.

Plus, I don't know how far someone could travel on foot with another person in the woods.

Where could a car be park in the woods? Is there trails in the woods?

I also don't get in some of the reports they say "may have been abducted"
another one is "fear abducted" To me she was abducted:banghead:

Car was probably parked on a road somewhere

I read the get away vehicle was described as a grey SUV of unknown type. THink it was on one of the FB posts.

Very strange case...

The family owns 20 acres of mostly wooded property near their home as well. There is lots of water around that area where they live. The TN River and KY Lake are not too far away either.

My thoughts are that someone was planning to either break into the house that morning, or was pilfering around outside to steal things, and Holly just happened to walk outside to leave for school...the guy saw her and she got a good look at him so he took her to keep her from identifying him. I think it was a random abduction, but not random robbery event.

I also think that there was someone else driving a vehicle that would have been pulled into the yard for the robbery, had the perp been successful in getting into the house, or had he found something of value to steal. Since he probably didn't know if they were at home, he didn't want to risk pulling up in a vehicle. After all, the family works so he most likely thought they would be gone by that time. Once he would have found the house empty, he would have called on cell phone for the driver to come into the yard area so they could load up the truck/car with the goods. As it was, with him taking Holly, he had to run somewhere (the woods area) and was then picked up by the driver.
