that's why i'm thinking perp had a vehicle waiting on the road somewhere.
eight miles sure is a LONG way to travel with a screaming girl on foot,
I'm thinking if they were on foot and they were traveling through the woods, Holly would have tried to get away at some point.
I am about to leave Memphis for Holly's area in a little while.
With discussion with my friends/family our current thoughts are: that the perp was watching Holly for a substantial period of time.
That he used a stolen vehicle to take Holly, thus no id on who he is.
That the car was parked beyond the treeline.
That the car was found abandoned because he had an atv of some type waiting with provisions at the spot where the car was found.
We believe he tossed her lunchbox out the window on the way into a roadside ditch which was filled with water from all the rain.
He ducttaped her to keep her from fighting and she is still alive.
I think that he intends to keep her as his own and had a place picked out to keep her way in advance, such as an underground area that could be accessed from a cave opening.
There is an avid geocaching group around this area, especially LadyFinger Bluffs. You can google LadyFinger and it will come right up.
Also there are many springs in that area that have superb drinking water so that would be easy to get.
A stored amount of deer jerky and even ramen noodles would be sufficient for them to eat.
This is all my opinion after long discussions with family and friends in Holly's area, and is no expert opinion by any means.
I have strong faith in TBI and all TN LE!!
The geocaching angle in one that should be explored further, as in the Duncan case in Idaho. I believe he was very into geocaching.
Praying Holly hangs tough and stays calm and God will bring her home.
Hunkered down knowing that it could be some time as this area is very densely forested and this man was IMO very prepared before he made his move.
I don't think he is listening to the radio or tv. A scanner is a good possibility.
He is living out his plan.
