I am still stuck on why Clint called his mother at all...why not yell out the window to Holly? Or go back to bed? What caused him to feel the need to call at all?

That's why I think there's a piece of the puzzle missing and I don't believe it's because Holly and CB had a fight over pizza or whatever. Holly sounds like a mature young lady and I just get the feeling that she may have been the over protective one.

If there was any argument in the house hold, it would've been with her mom (KB mentioned they had misunderstandings) or a lover's quarrel.

I don't know why that comes as a surprise really maybe its me but my uncle has a 4 car garage that well is a shop he does transmissions for well the public but also the dealerships and if i just woke up and seen shadows out in the garage i would feel like an idiot yelling out hey whos out there .It makes sence to me that after seeing people outside he called his mom to ask her if it was holly or not .He had just woke up for all we know he was just in his boxers no shirt your not gonna yelling out the door like that at 7 30 am.

How is mom supposed to know who is in the garage, when she is at work and he is right there? This is a 25-year old man we are talking about...at least 25 is a man in my book, confused and sleepy or not. Put your jeans on and go out and see. It is 7am, not the middle of the night...who would be expecting something scary out there? The whole thing makes it sound like the family had reason to be afraid of something/someone very specific.

Ya thats exactly what you wanna do during hunting season is startling someone with a gun. And if he had done that where would we be 2 dead people instead of one and a description at least ..

Well, see the thing is, he thought it was Holly and her bf. Not strangers. He even told his mom it was Holly and the bf so why call mom and not check himself? There's a big difference in your scenario versus this case, imo

My point exactly...he did not hear anything to alarm him, apparently, so why call mom instead of just going out to see what is going on, if he wanted to know? No one is wishing harm upon him, of course, but it did not seem that he thought it a dangerous situation at all. Not even when they walked into the woods. So why the call? That is what is baffling to me...

He said he saw 2 sillowets /shadows in the garage and thought it was holly and just assumed the other was her bf as he often wore camo. he never stated that i seen he new who the too people were he said sillowets or shadows of people in the garage ..

He thought it was her BF showing her a turkey.

Because he's a mama's boy. I'm not trying to criticize him, just saying what seems obvious. There probably have been a lot of times where he's gone to mom first instead of doing it himself. When he can't find his shirt, he says "mom" and asks her where it is instead of looking for it himself...that kind of thing. He saw and heard people in the garage so his first instinct was to call mom and ask if workmen were supposed to be at the house or something like that.

Also probably involves reaching for technology first. I've been guilty of that even though I'm older. I've gone to the weather website to see what temperature it is outside instead of just walking outside.

CB had just returned home and might not have known what was going on. Holly's schedule, work to be done at the house, etc. I'm going to say it and hope I don't get in trouble but here goes. He might have gotten together with friends he hadn't seen in a while the night before and been a little "under the weather" the next morning.

My thoughts exactly. I've had to sit on my hands for a long time to keep from posting the same thoughts. Seems to me something was going on.

Do we know for sure Clint had just moved back/returned home?
If so, maybe he did so for a reason, if there were threats against the family, or danger to Holly, for example.

Clint may not have been dressed yet. You wouldn't want to go traipsing through the woods without jeans and boots on. He said when he saw the two of them in the garage, he thought it was Holly's boyfriend, but when he saw them walking towards the woods, he thought something was kind of strange, so he called his mom. SHE is the one who panicked, because Holly was supposed to be in class already since she had an important test that morning. At that point, as far as he knew, there was no emergency yet.
Makes sense to me.

as far as I know Clint lived at home to begin with and did not "just return home" from anywhere.

The Bobo Family (MOO) seem to be fearful to me. They seem to be uncertain of the comments they make, like they know more than they can say. What if: The very protective community of Parsons, are protecting one of their own.

Lets face it LE never even put road blocks up immediately following her abduction, wouldn't it seem that would b e the first thing LE should do? there can't be that many roads to escape by. Perhaps local LE dropped the ball early on, and now it is really hard for them to make it up. What if they know who took Holly, and it is someone who's family wields a lot of power in this community.

Why would Karen Bobo ask for the Presidents help?? I thought that seemed weird, but maybe it was her way of reaching out for an outside agency, because they are being placated by the local authorities.

Maybe that is why they think Holly is still alive--they may know the person who has her.
Maybe that is why Clint's story doesn't make sense, as well as the families contradictions. They are just trying to work around what is really happening.
Maybe that is why no one heard from the family after the abduction, they knew what was going on and did not want to say anything to endanger Holly.
Maybe that is why they all believe it is someone from their Community??

BECAUSE IT IS SOMEONE FROM THE COMMUNITY--(with influence) and the Bobos are being advised to step back and no harm will come to Holly????

I know this may sound "out there" but when you really think about it , it could explain a lot of things about this case. The behavior and statements of the Bobo family "look" confusing because they cannot say what they want to say until Holly is safe.

I stand corrected. "He was not suppose to be home that morning" (According to the Open Line Interview).

If this is true then that kinda changes everything don't you think? It's possible that it could be someone who knows CB very well and knew that he was not supposed to be there. I wonder if CB was supposed to be staying over somewhere or simply getting up early to leave. For the life of me I can not figure out why in the world this can't be solved!!

I agree. CB was an unexpected surprise. I think the perp intended to assault her at the house and leave unnoticed. CB is home, he had to take her. I believe this is a sexual preditator or someone who was obsessed with her. A stalker.

Yeah that part always seemed significant to me. It indicates to me someone was watching the house or so intimate with the family that they knew their typical schedules. So creepy-can you imagine them living normal life the days before it happened except someone may have been watching them?

I had a stalker for 9 months. He was outside my house every night. Had even come in the house once and put my underwear out on my bed. When they caught him he lived behind me and one house over.

It was terrifying. I heard him outside. My dog would go crazy.
