Jan. 27, 1984: Gary Bain marries Pamela Mayes, who becomes Pamela (Mayes) Bain.

1988: Gary Bain fathers a child. It COULD have been with Pamela Bain.

1998: JoAnn gives birth to Adrienne

2000: JoAnn gives birth to Alexandria

2000: Adam Mayes marries Teresa Mayes. She is approximately 19. He is approximately 23

2001: Gary Bain marries JoAnn.

2004: Kyliyah Bain is born.

Approximately 2009: Gary and JoAnn Bain moved from Tennessee to Arizona.

Early 2010: Mayes family moved into a rented trailer in Union County, Mississippi

Approximately Thanksgiving 2011: Pamela (Mayes) Bain contacts her brother, Johnny Mayes II, for the first time in six years.

Approximately Winter 2011: Gary and JoAnn Bain TEMPORARILY moved back to Tennessee after a family death and listed a home for sale in Whiteville, Tennessee.

Thursday, April 26: Bain family was packing a U-Haul in anticipation of a move to Arizona; Gary Bain, JoAnn Bain, Adrienne Bain, Alexandria Bain, Kyliyah Bain are present; Adam Mayes is present and is helping to pack; Gary Bain’s adult daughter was present with Bain’s grandchild(ren).

Thursday, April 26, 10:33 p.m.: Adrienne Bain says on Twitter that she feels like crying. Theories range from sadness about moving away to something traumatic that occurred on April 26.

Friday, April 27, approximately 1 a.m.: Gary Bain goes to sleep.

Friday, April 27, afternoon: Gary Bain discovers that his family is not home after his girls do not return home from school on the bus, and he calls the police. A local resident spots JoAnn Bain’s SUV parked on the side of the road.

Sunday, April 29: Police question Adam Mayes about the disappearance of the Bain women, but they release him.
Sunday, April 29: Jo Ann Bain’s abandoned vehicle is found in Hardeman County after a resident reports that it has been there since he first saw it on Friday afternoon.

Monday, April 30, afternoon: Adam Mayes shows up at a convenience store in Guntown, Miss. He has cut off his hair and died it a darker color.

Tuesday, May 1: Mayes last seen in Guntown, Miss., according to published reports; Police contact Mayes to interview him about misleading information and discover that he has fled.

Thursday, May 3: Teresa Mayes begins to call, text and Facebook with her sister, Bobbi Booth, with details related to the abduction, and Booth tells her to notify police. Teresa doesn’t tell the police anything.
Friday, May 4: Warrant issued for Mayes and authorities begin digging in back yard at Mayes home. Amber Alert issued for Bain girls and mother.

Saturday, May 5: Two bodies are discovered at property where Mayes lived with his wife and parents. Bobbi Booth finally notifies police that her sister told her about the abduction and murders.

Monday, May 7: Bodies identified as Jo Ann Bain and 14-year-old daughter.

I think that it is a good theory. The only hole is that I don't see how GB could have thought that she ran off with AM for a minute if they were telling him to keep his distance. I am not sure how much bonding AM could have done with the girls if the Bain's lived in AZ for so long. I am curious if JB and GB moved to Arizona before she gave birth and AM didn't know about the second kid until they returned. Then the rest of the connection and separation could have fit in with your theory.

I'm not sure I understand the second half of that...

But as for how GB could have thought she ran off, maybe he didn't think she ran off WITH AM, maybe AM had already told him "I haven't seen her"... and he was just wondering where the heck she went? He didn't actually mention AM in his FB post, did he?

From personal experience, living with a severely dysfunctional family, the kids were not raised to be close to each other...they were encouraged to pick on the kid who was it (usually me)...my mother lives with a sister a year younger than me (her own sister says even though my mother had 6 children, she always acted as if my sister was the only one). I keep in touch with a brother who made it "out", like me..he retired from the Army and got his masters in mechanical engineering and became an officer while in the Army. I set boundaries when my oldest son, 30 was born. Both he and my youngest son, 23, have only seen my mother maybe 5 times in their life (not that she ever wanted to see them). She lives local....I haven't seen her in years..I believe she has contact with 2 of her 6 children..none have contact with each other...that I know of, other than my brother and I. It's like a spider web...if you are with them, you get caught up in the craziness and there is nothing positive that will come out of it...I finally realized I could not be good enough to my mother to earn her love..she's not capable of loving anything other than herself. The kids who have had no contact with the M family are probably the more mentally healthy....IMO ^i^

I just think that the odds of AM getting his wife, mom, and the victims' dad/husband to conspire would be unheard of. How does that all tie together? I think GB is victim only.

"Keep us in your heart and know that we appreciate and covet your prayers and we'd like to thank you personally and we do want our family back," says Bain's cousin Vicki Mahan.

Mahan says her cousin never made it to a hair appointment on Friday, April 27.

She says her kids never got off the bus that day.

That's when Jo Ann's husband Gary Bain called Jo Ann's mother in Henderson Tennessee.

"And his comment to my cousin was 'So y'all haven't seen them?' How was he put it, 'I don't think they were kidnapped.' And from there the feelings became more foreboding," Mahan says.

Mahan says she didn't know Adam Mayes.

"At one time, there was a relationship, a brief relationship between him and my cousin Joann. Yes I do believe they had an intimate relationship at one time," she continues.

Mahan says authorities told the family that Jo Ann Bain and her oldest daughter, Adrienne, had been beaten inside a garage near the Whiteville home.

And there it is!.. So there is very much a real reason this man thinks oNe of these girls are his.. I HOPE SOMEONE SENDS THIS ASAP TO NANCY GRACE TO LET HER KNOW "FACTS" ARE JB/AM DID HAVE A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP AT SOME POINT!!.. She'll ignore it probably..

Horribly traumatic to know they were beat to death.. Or ATLEAST beaten badly in that garage.. You'd think there'd be blood from the beating of these two women.. God bless what a painful, painful horror..

This is coming from Joann's family, which confirms that there was a relationship with AM at one time. I wonder if that is how she met Gary in the first place. If so, AM may have been harboring resentment and anger towards the two of them for a long time.

im going to bed buying a lwb vw crafter that im going to convert into a sleeper tour van to drive bands in.Im gonna have 2 tvs, xbox, couple of sockets, spot lights and strip lights on seperate switches,dvd/cd player, and possibly a fridge.As I will need power as often as possible I will be needing a mains hook up as well. So I guess Ill wire a leisure battery from the van battery through a split charge relay,and connect the mains socket to a charger to charge the leisure battery? will this provide me constant power when im plugged in? and can i run the power for the sockets, tvs and xbox all from one inverter?
anything else id need to consider?
any help would be great as this will be my first project.

So, Gary Bain had this adult daughter. He was married three times. Is this daughter also Pamela's daughter? If so, did this daughter associate with the Mayes family?

Well, Mahan (the one to says she "believes" JB and AM had an intimate relationship) has given conflicting accounts and stories in the media and many don't think she is the most reliable source. Not saying isn't true, there have been so many false statements flying around and seemingly a few people wanting their 15 minutes. Who knows what the truth is.
