We haven’t had it on WS but it’s on nbcnews , the victim is a Union County SC lady named Jessica Ash,ore, Jeffries Farm Rd, Union SC. She was supposed to have walked off after an argument with a relative. That area is very rural but I’m aware that people like Todd Koelheppe are close to this region so there’s all kinds of possibilities.
So sad. Why does my gut turn every time I read " after an argument with a family member"? :(

Update:
After a blood hound search yesterday the ground search has ceased but our investigation continues.
Rescue made the decision to end the ground search

Overton County Sheriff's Department

So no more ground searches?
Correct. It seems they have reason to believe she is no longer in the woods.

Hey worm, here's the thread for Jessica Ashmore if you need it :

I'm getting confused what info on the thread is about this case and what info is about another case.

Kaitlynn Ledbetter
- last seen 5/2/21 at 5:30 am
- 5'3", 160 lb, blonde
- last seen at residence off Turkey Town Rd in Hilham, TN, walking west into wooded area
- wearing blue shirt and white shirt with polka dots (pajamas), no shoes
- a search with dogs showed no scent, so LE does not think she's in the woods, ground search ended.

I could not find anything to indicate if it was AM or PM that she was last seen. All the reports only say "last seen at 5:30" Can anyone confirm it was AM?

5:30 am is listed on that missing poster I posted.

They must think she is traveling by car now. If she was tracked back to a road then it’s only logical that she was picked up.

Agreed. I'm hoping she's a willing participant wherever she went and that she'll reach out SOON!! We never really know what's going on in people's lives, especially the missing. :(

It’s a long shot (but not impossible) that the wrong person just happened by that rural rd with bad intentions. It seems more planned, just my thinking.

And the fact that if she's like most young adults, she doesn't leave the house without her cell phone. You're upset, walk in the woods to get away, call someone to meet you at the road to get you out of there. Again, opinion and fingers are crossed she safe.

Some random thoughts/observations.

Turkey Town Rd. is very, very isolated. Just looking at the area on Google Maps gives me the creeps. A long, windy road with some clusters of homes. StreetView has never driven through Turkey Town - the first time I've ever seen that on a public road (no SV of gated communities/private roads, but the reason is obvious.) StreetView's most recent images of the 85 TN/Hilham Hwy are from 2014. Maxwell Chapel Ln, nearby, was last captured in 2008.

After searching with bloodhounds, Overton County has ceased the ground search; the interpretation is that they do not believe she is in the woods, suggesting...someone picked her up?

It hasn't been specified which address Kaitlynn was at. As I've said before, the wording of witnesses saying "she ran into a wooded area in what appears to have been her own efforts" makes me think that it's a house on the east side, and Kaitlynn crossed over and was seen then, going into the wooded area.

“Ran into the wooded area/own effort” just makes no sense. People run for exercise or for some reason. Without shoes suggests she didn’t run for fun. I think she was in fact picked up but I’m lost on who by or why?
